Foglight Install

I finally put in the new Crystal Clear Fogs ($40 ones w/o the heat shield) and the Yellow H3's and they looked AMAZING! Well, I put them on and after about 5 minutes I was at a light and on the car in front of me I noticed they were out so I thought I accidentally flicked them off but I didn't...

So, I'm curious of what the hell happened? Did I blow a fuse? If metal contacted a piece of metal already grounded in the housing, can that make them go out? I feel it must be a fuse since BOTH of them went out at the same time. I can't check till the weekend, but any opinions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds like a fuse...I'd check that first.

Weird Max. So both of your fog lights went out? Hmm. I would check the fuse as well.

On another note, don't those "Eiro clear fog lights" look freekin sweet on the car! I put them on mine a few months ago and just put in the regular whitish bulbs and they are freeking brighter than the damn headlights!!!!! Those fog lights let out so much light~!!!! I love em!.

Now, since oyu bought new fog light housings, go buy the stoneguard protection for them before the rocks chip the lenses all up!!!!!!

www.stoneguard.com look for 1996 Infiniti I30 and fog light protection.

Here are the prices for each side.

Fog Light, left $13.65
Fog Light, right $13.65

Fixed em. It was exactly what I thought it was. Just a blown fuse due to metal contact. I forgot where I got em at, but Doc might know.

XPEL also makes a light protection kit for the I30. They also have paint protection kits, too. I just put the light kit on my '96 I30 this weekend. It was an 8 piece kit; 2 X (head, corner, fog, cornering lights). It's 40 mil thick 3M clearbra material cut to fit. If you plan to cover original headlights, you'll want to polish them some to clean off the years of haze. I use Janvil with some success.

What was the cost of this. I was thinking I needed something like this just the other day.

They were like $40, but they don't have them anymore.

That's stupid. I wonder why they don't have them anymore. They're def. a great product and were at an even greater price.
