You can find pictures of their filters there, but I don't think they show the specific filters that we'll be selling with the JWT POP venturis or as replacements for K&N or Monsterflow filters that came with Place Racing CAIs. I'll take pics of those as soon as my filters arrive from R2C.

i currently have a berk/apexi setup.. its about time to replace my apexi.. could i essentially use this r2c filter? or does it require some sort of piece like apexi uses ...basically does it have a opening where one could put a clamp around and add it to any intake system...if it does.. ill be placing an order..

We're carrying two basic styles of R2C air filters. One is designed to go with the JWT POP-Charger velocity stack, meaning that the entire bottom of the filter is open (6" opening) and clamps around the cast aluminum JWT velocity stack (sometime called a venturi).

The other style is the classic cone configuration with a 3" ID neck/outlet that's designed to clamp onto 3" OD tubing. I'm not closely familiar with the Berk/Apexi setup, but this style that would work there if its just a matter of slipping it over a 3" tubing section.

Sure will. Obviously the tubing is bigger (2.5") and it flows better than stock, but as far as fitment goes, and the way it attaches to the parts in front (cat) and behind it (muffler), its an exact dimensional replacement for the stock b-pipe.

the apexi unit has a large maybe 6" ill have to measure.. and then has a piece that attaches.. the venturi stack.. i doubt they are interchangeable..ill have to take a deeper look at it tomorrow..anyways.. what would either one of those be shipped to ct 06489

Sorry I didn't make it more clear, but if you read the ad again, it indicates that the upper tubes are only available for the 95/96 Maxima and 92-94 Max SE (although the 95/96 tubes are easily adapted to fit 97-99).

These are from Place Racing's old inventory and the only types still left. I have pattern pieces for all 89-03 Maximas and could get more made, but haven't done so - didn't seem to be enough demand. Maybe that will change with the R2C filter setup.

Sure, the pics are below. The Cattman header/y-pipe system makes around 19-23whp on the VQ30DE, depending on transmission, engine condition, and other performance parts. The same parts on the VQ35DE make 22-26whp depending on the same factors. Note that highly modded cars, or vehicles with s/c or nitrous will do a bit better than these numbers.

Just a reminder to our many customers on the East Coast, we're out west in Arizona and it can be a bit confusing to keep up with the time difference. Confusing, because AZ is the only state in the continental US that never goes on daylight savings time (Hawaii doesn't either). During late spring/summer/early fall, we're 3 hours earlier than Eastern Daylight Time (same time as the west coast, PDT), but when y'all go off of daylight savings time (like you will in a week or two), we're just two hours earlier than Eastern Daylight Time (same time as the other mountain states).

We've lived here a long time, but my own family still can't get it straight. ;-)

I don't blame you for being confused, the text in that part of the ad needed some serious editing - I'd gotten two different deals mixed up, its correct now.

The Cattman POP intake is a complete intake system, plus we have the optional upper tube that goes between the MAF and throttle body for 4th gen Maximas.

The introductory price is for the Cattman POP intake system (an R2C filter combined with a JWT velocity stack and bracket) is $119.99, and shipping ranges from $13-17 within the continental US.

For your 03 Maxima, that is the complete system. We have upper tubes (goes between MAF and throttle body) for the 95-99 Maximas (but not later vehicles), but I will point out that although it looks nice, I don't believe the upper tube adds anything to the performance.

The y-pipe that comes with our headers for the 95-03 Maxima (sold as a 3-piece system) can only be used with the headers. We also make a y-pipe that can be used by itself (with the stock manifolds), but its not possible to properly design the manifolds around that y-pipe.

Here are some pics of the "new" intake kit we're selling, combining the R2C filter with the JWT POP-Charger velocity stack and bracket, AND the basic R2C filter with the standard 3" neck (last photo).

I think the flow rates between traditional oiled cotton (K&N-style) filters and R2C filters are similar, but the R2C clearly does a better job of filtering out engine-destroying dust and grit. Look at it his way, R2C is best for daily driving on the street, but the oiled cotton might be the best choice for the track.

There was a graph on their website that matched the R2C filter with several others (can't remember which) based on flow and particulate pass-through, but I can't find it now, and there's no point in trying to call them during SEMA.
