Got mine last week... Excited to see that it was a quality looking kit with chrome ballasts and waterproof connections. Went with the 8k's for the headlights wich have an awesome color between blue and purple. Put them in black housing 01 lights and the cutoff and light output are fine for anyone considering. No glare issues ...Good kit... Ordering h3c's for the fog's this week.

I ordered the 9003 Hi/Lo-6000K Automobile Xenon HID Conversion Kit (9003 Hi/Lo-6000K Automobile) last night and I am wondering does the bulb that comes with it have both low and high beam settings or do I have to buy another bulb for the high beams?

Ordered the H3 8K kit and 8K D2R bulbs. Received them in two days time from Cali to Jacksonville, FL. Exceptional kit, great quality. Plug and play as stated and the color is just as I wanted.

Thanks, feedback left for you. I'd definitely recommend this vendor to anyone looking for great quality for a even better price.

Any fitment problems with the H3 bulbs (fogs) into the factory housing for '02's? How much would it cost to add the relay?

Thanks

HI,
As long as your fog says you use H3 bulbs, then our H3 bulbs will not have a problem with your car. Also, the relay is $16 extra and you can add to order or order separately. Let me know if you need me to get you the link and once you order, PM me your o# so i can confirm the order went through and you got all your discounts deducted. Thanks~

You will not have any issues with the H3 bulbs fitting in the 02 housing. They are the same as the 03's, which is what have, and used.

Orgullo,

Just a couple questions that have been pretty common in the other HID threads with respect to the fogs.

1. Did you have to push the glare shield forward in the housing to fit the H3 bulb in?
2. Did you have to drill an enlarged hole in the back of the housing to get the wires through, or was it completely plug and play besides mounting the ballast?

Thank you.

How much for H3c bulbs? I'm not talking about the H3 shortys, but the H3 minis which resemble an H3 halogen bulb in shape and size. And what colors do you have? Thanks

There are no modifications needed. I removed that plastic piece on the back. Inserted the bulb and wrapped electrical tape around the opening. Other then that there's no real modification, ie. drilling etc., required.

Get em!

Hi,

Your bulb type is
2008 JEEP Commander
Low beam headlamp
9006
High beam headlamp
9005

You didn't specify what color you want, so I'm going to give you link to the most common color 5000K (closest to oem) and 6000K (pure white)

If you want both low beam and high beam to be HID you have to get two conversion kits, one for each.

Here is the link to your 9006 5000K ($60 after coupon code:fspecial-m)

http://www.hidextra.com/HID+Conversi...rsion+Kit.html

Here is the link toyour 9006 6000K ($60 after coupon code:fspecial-m)

http://www.hidextra.com/HID+Conversi...rsion+Kit.html

For High beams

here is the link to your 9005 5000K ($60 after coupon code:fspecial-m)

http://www.hidextra.com/HID+Conversi...rsion+Kit.html

Here it he link to your 9005 6000K ($60 after coupon code:fspecial-m)

http://www.hidextra.com/HID+Conversion+Kits/Automobile+HID+Kits/9005+HID+Kit/9005-6000K/9005-6000K+Automobile+Xenon+HID+Conversion+Kit.html

If you want to get more than one kit, you must enter your transaction separately for each and input coupon code twice, once for each order so you can get the $15off discount for both. THanks!

For your
2002 TOYOTA Corolla
Low beam headlamp
9006
High beam headlamp
9005

Bulb type is same as your JEEP Commander so you can use the same links above.

Make sure you include YR MAKE MODEL in the order you purchase so we know to give you special capacitor for your JEEP Cherokee.

Let me know your order #'s so I can double check if your orders went through. THanks~

Michelle

Problem with headlights

I ordered a conversion kit on 8-12-09 my order number is 884. It is a 9003 hi/lo automobile xenon hid conversion kit. I installed the headlights today exactly how it is shown on the instructions. Neither headlight lights up. I unplugged what i had done and reinstalled my stock headlights and they both worked. When i reinstalled the HID headlights they once again did not light up.

Hey, I don't know ANYTHING about headlights, bulbs, HIDs, ect but I just smoked my headlights and now I need some brighter lights..

I'm thinking of getting the 10000K's.. Can I get these in dual beams? Do Dual-beams last the same?

I have a 2007 Maxima.

How hard are these to install??

Hi,

Did yous Maxima come with original HIDs? If yes, the it's your housing that makes it dual beam the reflector technology in your housing, not the bulb.
Let meknow.Your bulb type for HID is D2S and all you would need is the bulbs unless you smoked your ballast too. Thanks~

Ya I probably should have posted that after my install but on my 01 I had to reverse the positive and negative cause I had a similar problem when I had installed it. Diagram shows obviously red to red and black to black but at least with the 01 I had to flip it.

Just FYI, if you want more output, stay away from anything over 6000K. 4300K or 5000k would be your best bet.

Wow, how come?

What if I got the dual beams in 10000k?

And does anyone know how to tell if you have stock HIDS?

Kelvin temperature affects the color of the bulb. it is a common misconception that the higher the K temperature, the brighter the light.

This is actually not true.

Don't get over 6k and 4300k to 5k would be the brightest, 10000k will be dark blue and not very bright....

Hi,

You might have to consult with your manual or your dealer when you purchased the car to see if your car had the HID upgrade.

Also, when you turn on your lights and it's more yellowish in color, HID usually are very bright when first turned on and then slowly dims to it's correct color, so HID would have a 5 second heat up period where it gets brighter until it reaches it's color temperature about 5-10 seconds. Halogen just turns on and stays the same through out.

We ship from CA. Thanks~

Michelle

HI,

Yes the higher the K(Kelvin) the dimmer it is, therefore to be able to see at night with good light output, 8000K and below would be good, 5000K and 6000K is the best. Thanks~

Michelle

We are in Fremont CA, our warehouse is here, but we don't do local pickups because we do not have a retail store front.
Thanks~
