I can still honor this price, and if you would like to place an order,
please contact me and I will hook you up with that price!
Update: We are still testing fitting the pipes and so far so good. I am
sorry for the delay, as it is taking longer then we expected, but I assure
you we are working as fast as we can to get these pipes shipped out to you.
The expected shipping date is the week of May 10th. I will keep you all
updated as soon as I get more info, and if you have any questions please
call me directly at 203.730.0858 x101.
As for the people who are thinking about getting this pipe, this would be a
good time, because the factory is giving us a special price that we are
passing on to you. I tell you this because these pipes will never be this
cheap again. Unfortunately, we've had 10 pre-order cancellations since this
Group Deal began which brings the exact number of current orders to 5, this
being the absolute minimum required for this Group Deal.
Thanks,
Nick

FWIW, if someone would come up with a Y-pipe that kept the primary cats intact on the 2004+ Maxima, I bet they would sell a LOT of them.
Where I live, you just won't get awa with a normal Y-pipe, and I bet a lot of other people are in the same boat as me. Also, on my car, I think the front crimp (that and the crimp in the pipe itself) is what robs the thing, not the two primary cats...could be wrong though!

i got mine yesterday
installed it today
EVERYONE THAT IS GOING TO INSTALL THIS SHOULD USE A LIFT
i am a complete fool and did this by myself with just ramps and it was the stupidest thing i've ever done
also one thing i'm not sure about is the need for 2 extra bolts - did other people encounter the same thing? on the original y-pipe the end piece that connects to the back of the exhaust (the connection closer to the middle of the car) the connections were threaded - the new one however is not threaded and thus there is nothing to screw into so you need a bolt on the other side - i'm a little angry about this unless it's just something i did wrong....

You are not a fool. I got to say thanks for the feedback and save us headaches. I would have used ramps too. Do you have pics of the flange you mention? Will all this fitment smoke, did the y-pipe fit right?
Congrat.

and again - i emphasize - do not use ramps unless you have higher than normal ones and 2 people to get under the car with you
the fitment is perfect - because it's perfect it takes some time to get it aligned just right though - i got frustrated because it was a great fit so it made it hard to align just right

How long did it take you to install?

i'm not sure what you mean by smoke exactly - the only other engine modification i had before this was an intake - there is little to no sound difference once it's all tightened back up and the such - as soon as it was installed i had to do a 2hr trip to a campsite - i can't tell a huge difference but it does seem to feel a bit peppier
