Hey Jeff,

How do the Metal Masters compare to Hawk HPS or EBC Greenstuff pads?

Thanks

Same compound (semi-metalic) at a fraction of the cost! We do have HPS too if you really want those.

Thanks,
Jeff

When do you expect my order to ship? I'm guessing it's 3-4 days transit to VA.

What is the name on your order? I can get you a tracking #... Ground to VA would typically be 4-5. Lemme know

Thanks again,
Jeff

I am intrested in buying whatever I need to elimate the squeaking my powerslot + hawk HPS fronts are giving me. Its pretty bad. Often the squeak will go away once the pads and rotor is heated up, but after 2-3 minutes of driving at speed the squeak will come back.

Just to note, the OE pads and rotor does not dust at all nor will you hear squeaks (maybe during the break in period, but certinally not after)

So my question, if I threw some Deluxe pads at those powerslots, would the squeaking go away?

The Deluxe pads should NOT squeak. Now, there are other factors, there could be debris, uneven wear, etc. But my guess would be that this would take care of it. Though I can't gaurantee anything based on all the other possibilities. If you buy the DP and new rotors, then I would say, theres no way for it to continue ... Hope that helps

Thanks again,
Jeff

Alright, I really hate to throw on new pads when I just replaced them 3 months ago. But if they will cure the squeaking.. Consider them purchased. I just need the price and shipping to zip code 92883.

Thanks!

Again, I cannot GUARANTEE it, but I've never heard of the DP squeaking... Shipping for the pads if bought by themselves will be $9 to your zipcode. If you buy them with the shocks you were talking about I'll throw them in w/ the shocks for free. Lemme know...

Thanks again,
Jeff

*order placed*

(bump for a good deal)
Order id: #21684
Picked up a complete set of Deluxe plus pads for my 2002 SE. Also nabbed two rear brembo oe blank rotors.

Going to see if these pads will stop the squeaking hawk APS pads when used with powerslot front rotors. If not, I'm going to have to drop in new brembo oe blank front rotors.

Total was $145 shipped, even a good deal before the .org discount.

im going to order these as well. but i had a question.... is the deluxe plus's stopping power much sacrifised compared to metal master's to achieve the low dusting factor? i dunno which to go for. im lookin for very good stopping power and yet low dust as im on 19's that chew up pads. im leaning towards deluxe but i dont want to sacrifise performance by a lot for low dust

Go with the Deluxe Plus, at least thats what I would do. They perform slightly worse than the MM, but dust a lot less.... Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Jeff

just got my deluxe pads last week and installed them.
they seem nice, no squeaking so far. as for brake dust,
its too early to tell. ordering and shipping were easy,
overall a good deal and good buying experience. but next time i think
i will look for pads that come with the shims and metal
brackets, i had to use my old ones which were pretty
crappy.

Glad everything worked out, you shouldn't have a problem with noise or dust from those pads. Thanks again for the order!

Parts received, got them installed today. Did the brake bedding procedure as listed on the bottom of the Deluxe Plus pad box. Everything went smoothly, and something was missing.

SQUEAKING

To wrap up:
2002 maxima se
Powerslot front rotor + Deluxe Plus Pads
Brembo blank rear rotor + Deluxe Plus Pads

I need to clean off my wheels to check if they dust at all or whatever, but stay tuned.

Major props to Jeff for knowing his brake pads.

SWEET! Glad to hear this is helping with the problem. I've never had complaints about noise with the DP, and I guess I STILL haven't

Thanks for the props, and the business!!!

I've used them and not had trouble, but I've heard they *might* squeek a bit under cold conditions. Shouldn't be anything too bad though.

Thanks,

Ah well I gave it about a week. There is a squeaking noise after I apply brake pressure. It will stop if I let off the pedal. Guess I have to drop in oe blank front rotors. No more powerslots up front.

Shoot, so the Powerslots sound like the smoking gun. I've NEVER heard of problems with the Deluxe Plus making noise... Lemme know if you need rotors or anything else....

Thanks again,
Jeff

Ok, I got some pretty bad steering wheel vibration today. So it looks like I am going to pick up the brembo oe front rotor blank. What would they run shipped to 92883.

Thanks
