I know ...

But are there any recent updates on getting Brembo x-drilled and/or slotted front rotors for 02's?

Nope, not unless the blanks are bought and tooled by a third party, which comes highly un-recommended. Just the solid faced still for now. Let me know if you are intersted.

Thanks again,
Jeff

My friend, The Wizard, and I received our Brembo blanks. I installed mine with Hawk pads and everything works really well. I don't understand why the Brembo boxes were so thrashed and in one case one of the rotors was completely outside of the empty Brembo box but, other than that, the product, price and service was excellent. Thanks again.

Some customers get their packages perfect, some get em banged up. UPS throws them around sometimes, glad the rotors themselves are ok. Thanks for the positive feedback and the order! Let us know if you need anything else! We appreciate it!

Jeff

Well, it was pretty clear the red Brembo boxes themselves were thrashed prior to them being put in the shipping box. The outside of the shipping box was fine. And like I said before, one of the 8 rotors was completely out of the red box. It was an otherwise fine experience and I wouldn't hesitate to order from you again, it just bothers me a little that they came that way and I am bringing it to your attention so that you are aware of it. Thanks.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I will tell the powers that be. We generally try and ship and pack all packages properly. Anyway, thanks for the feedback and the business!

Ok, here is your quote:

2-90 accord ex FRONT blanks - $28 per rotor
2-97 maxima FRONT blanks - $36 per rotor
this is to 96701 - Parcel Post for all 4 rotors would be $45.37

Thanks,
Jeff

Hey Jeff. My name is Edgard I. I placed an order yesterday afternoon with Mike for Brembo blanks all around and Axxis MM pads. Just wanted to thank you for the ongoing GD and give you guys a free bump . Please notify me when my order ships, and thanks again.... (my old rotors are under spec for resurfacing, pads are glazed, and one rear caliper is seized.... yea i think I put off brakes for engine and suspension a tad too long )

The have what they call an "integral" shim. This is built in to the back of the pad. Most folks use that and the stock shim. THe combo of the two works very well

I still don't understand the performance difference between the solid faced/crossdrilled/slotted. Anyone care to explain?

correct me if i'm wrong
crossdrilled = to vent out heat
slotted = for stopping power
w/o those just regular rotor less stopping power and will retain heat.

That is kind of correct. Another benefit to the slotted is keepping the pad/rotor surface clean and free of debris. There have been a gazillion arguments as to whether drilled or slotted is better. Also, lots of folks think slotted rotors hold up better. Hope that somehow helps...

Thanks again guys!

Jeff

Rotors arrived today. I have one question. One rotor is labeled "made in italy" the other is labeled "made in mexico" I don't really care whether I got a pair of one or the other but I would prefer to get a matching pair. I'm sure they spec out the same but the finish appears a little different.
