How long have you own your maxima for, and how long you think you'll keep it for???

The only way I see me getting rid of my maxima is if I get into a terrible accident and its would be easier to buy another. However, I would still swap over many of the parts from the first anyways to keep the character :-)

I got mine in July after my altima was totaled. It's an 00 I was planning on keeping for two more years until I graduate college at first but lately I have been leaning towards totally redoing it once I graduate because I fell in love with her.

I bought mine in August 06, got totaled due to an idiot running the red arrow, frame was bent in 4 spots but I put it back together and revived it, airbags windshield, rad support, all was gone my reinforcement beam looks like the letter v, only thing which survived was my radiator, after the rebuild I can honestly say car runs and drives as if it was never hit

I've had my 2000SE 5 spd for 13 years, got it with 25 miles and now passing 132k. Replaced the tranny this year and running strong. I drive it everyday to school and work, let it rest on the weekends when I run my 07 Silverado....I can't see myself getting rid of it, ever....

Honestly I love my car and seeing that nissan aren't makind the 6spd manual anymore this might be my last nissan.I enjoy driving this car and it will be hard to let her go.When the engine gone,i'm swapping it.When the tranny gone, swapping it.Everything else isn't too bad.6spd all the way

Well ive had 3 4th gens within a 10 year period. First one was rear ended. Second one i blew the motor(note how i say that "I" blew it up) And the third one is sitting in my driveway. Ive been though a few maxes and to ask how long im going to keep it for is insulting

I say I have co-driven mine with the wife for 5 years, because it's her daily driver. It will be payed off this spring, and the plan has always been that the Maxima would be my daily driver when we decide to get my wife a newer daily driver. So, I plan to get my wife a different car so I can enjoy the Max as my sole transportation for as long as it financially makes sense to do so.

Got my i30 3 years ago. Plan on driving it to the ground. Might possibly swap out tranny and motor after it dies.
Got my 97 SE 9 months ago. Plan on keeping it as long as it stays in one piece.

Since 97. Was parked for 2 years due to spun bearing. Got her running again in 06, daily driver since and before it went down. Plan to rock it until parts can't be found. Then it well be a weekend car. Never getting rid of it.

I owned the Maxima for almost 9.5 years.
And then, one letter... G.

I bought my '96 in 2000 and have owned it ever since. 12 years so far and once I clear my fiance's credit, It will be my project car instead of my continual daily driver. 218k miles and growing but running strong.

Was given my '96 in '09 by parent @ 136,000 miles, they didn't want to deal with putting a new exhaust on and fixing the misc problems it was having at the time (which were VERY few, primarily just minor regular maintenance that hadn't been done on the car)... I had even offered to do the work for them if they'd just buy the parts... obviously they thought it'd be better to get a different car. Since then I've driven places in it with them and they've regretted their decision since, always telling me "I miss this car so much... the comfort, the power, it's like a brand new car"
Plan to keep it forever... grew up riding in the car and plan to keep it as long as the body will hold out for, only then will I part with it -- but only with the body (if nothing else is bad of course)

Ive had my 98 se since Oct 2010 (134k) I just passed 180k and its still pulling hard but honestly I dont have the need for a sedan, i hardly use the back seat. So i assume ill keep it until I can afford a 370z in about a year or two. RWD FTW

Bought mine with 89,000 miles on it 3 years ago and it is at 127,000 (3 drives to Oregon and one to Cali this year). I plan on running it to the ground but I may sell it or give it to a friend towards the end of its life.

Bought my current one on August 9th, 2010. Paid it off last August, and she is no longer my daily driver, got my Hardbody or the fiances Kia for that. As for how long, we are buying an SUV this fall for her, and when thats paid off (5ish years), I'm getting something bigger and better, probably an STI or similar at that point.

I bought my 2k GLE new from the dealer in November 2000. It now has 230,000 miles on it in the almost 12 years.
I have replaced just about everything on it, except for the engine and transmission. All maintenance is up to date and the real issue I have with it is a rear main seal or rear lip seal oil leak which is manageable right now. Interior looks almost good as new, except a small tear in my driver's seat leather. It is funny because when people ride in my car the first time they ask what year it is and are surprised to hear it is almost 12 years old.
I'd like to own it until the maintenance and repair costs are too much for the value of the car, or it doesn't pass smog in CA.

I bought my '03 SE in 2006 with 24K on her. I'm currently sitting at 106K and honestly cannot remember ever owning another vehicle for this long and I still enjoy driving it. I run nothing but Premium at the pump and Full Syn so I'm hoping I can keep her to 200K and beyond! I should have it paid off by late summer of this year so the joy of not having a car payment but still having a reliable ride is right around the corner! Drive that ***** til the wheels fall off!

Bought our 2000 new. Wife just got a '12 Juke and the Max is now my daily driver with 156K. Mostly original 'cept exhaust, front struts, brakes, starter, motor mounts and the usual. I expect my 14 year old will learn on her. Maybe she'll survive for my 12 year old.
