Hey, I realize this is supposed to be for fun. But rules #2 and #5 clearly state what I was referring to. If we have rules but we're not following them, dump the points and just play for the hell of it. Just sayin'.
There's also a rule about being reasonable and keeping things safe with the challenges. As has been said, a dealership lot is a touchy place to be in. I'd rather not have a member come on here saying how they were harassed and run out of a dealership lot because they were trying to take pictures of their car next to an $80k Corvette. In this situation, I think it was perfectly good enough that he put a pic up of the Corvette with his dashboard in the foreground so it can clearly be seen he is in a Maxima.
There's been discussion in here before about the rules and how they are open to interpretation. The general guideline is that when there is a completed challenge in question, the issuer of the challenge decides whether it is good or not. This is exactly what happened when you posted a picture of a c5 Corvette and tigersharkdude said it did not fulfill the challenge.
It's not like he was ducking and taking the easy way out by taking a picture of a Corvette from his living room or something. He obviously used his better judgement and did it in a manner that wasn't going to cause problems. That's perfectly acceptable and that's the judgement I made on it.
Also, the points aren't like money. They don't really count for anything anyway. They just keep track of who's doing what and whoever has the most at the end of the month gets a neat-o sig. So dumping them and playing "just for fun" would be like getting rid of something that wasn't there to begin with since that's pretty much what's already going on as it is.
Not to sound like a d1ck, but if you really have a problem with it, no one is forcing you to participate in the thread. I really didn't think there was a reason for there to be any issue with the situation to begin with.

Seriously, i expected something better than that. What happened to "your Max beside a c6 z06 (2005+ body Corvette Z06)". Looks like any other corvette to me from your distant pictures. You could have atleast pulled up to the "no parking" zone and took the picture. I can not make out ANY of the the distinguishing features, such as air scoop, rear brake vents, Z06 badge. Hell i even downloaded the pictures and ran them through some filters in photoshop and still can not tell if it is a Z06.
In my opinion you fail. If i posted up something like this, would it have passed because it is about as vague of distinguishing features as yours. Looks like any corvette to me.
Here let me blow that up for ya.

You guys really need to chill out. For people who failed to meet what was a relatively simple challenge, you sure have a lot to say about what was done. It was HIS OWN challenge for pete's sake. The only reason he even had to do it was because no one else did. He could have easily said fcuk it I'm not doing it and just been docked a point.
Did you not read any of his post about how he drove half an hour to a Chevy dealer and then had to deal with sales staff trying to figure out wtf he was doing? And then my follow up post saying how it was OK because a dealership lot isn't exactly an easy place to just pull up to and start snapping pics of an $80k Corvette with your car next to it? No, so let's drop the whole thing and move on.
I went well out of my way to get the pic, drove to two different lots on different side of town....for what NOTHING! NOT EVEN A POINT
The car is clearly a z06 (fender badges and wheels), the picture would be much clearer if it was my DSLR but I didnt feel like unpacking my equipment
I think the guy is just butt-hurt that he failed by taking a pic of the wrong car.
and the blue car is not a Z06 either, the rear fenders on a Z06 are wider to accommodate the massive rear tires
EDIT: my next challenge will be your car (from outside view) beside a black gallardo SuperLeggara and even though I could easily get the pick, id let it stay forever......and kill the thread
and on that note............i dont know anybody with a hot tub...so Im out
Im going to get a bucket of scolding hot water and put it beside my car, throw a thermometer in the bucket and take two pics, one of car and bucket and one of the "hot tub".........**** yeah!
it's nothing huge or wonderful, actually. Was just debating trying to take a pic outside of a hot tub / spa company store with my max, with the hot tubs inside the store...
But regardless, does teh hot tub need to be full of water, or just like a showroom is ok? hmm
Morning bump...challenge "YOUR MAX WITH A HOT TUB" was originally posted 2-2-12 @ 404pm. 8 hrs left for someone to get it done.
Now 14 hours afterf that post, 6 hours after expiration. Op has 18 hours from this post to do his own...or I can take it when I'm off work in a few hours...but not sure it would count since 48hr deadline is up

Won't count for you...Maximaboy12 has til 2-5-12 at 4pm to complete it or lose a point.

Not quite a fail...yet...I'm sure Maximaboy12 has a hot tub in mind to snap a pic of by the deadline.
After checking out a few pages from the BMW version of this game, and then looking back at our Maxima version.
I can now say with quite a certainty that most people here are way too... GOD DAMN ANAL
The guys on the BMW forum seem to be very chill and can (dare I say) actually have FUN with this GAME. All that money laying around might contribute to that chill attitude.
But nonetheless, lets try to have fun. And life might actually seem a little brighter.
I would really like enjoy watching you guys play, with a lot less bickering taking up the laughing at picture time.

Whoa, slow down here. Tigersharkdude, you are way off track here. The hot tub challenge was a fail...no one completed it it the 48 hour time period so your pic DOES NOT COUNT. then you posted a challenge of car decorated with Valentine stuff, which you then did yourself, again, against the rules of the game. So neither of your pics count for anything. I am ok with next challenge being decorated with Valentine stuff since maximaboy12 failed to do his challenge and lost a point. But dude, you gotta give everyone else 48 hours to do it before you do.
I posted the pic for maximaboy...as stated

I'm not being anal, just didn't see where it said posted by you, which I've since admitted to. I don't see where anyone has been anal, I just see people trying to follow the rules and trying to make sure others do too. Now being anal would be saying you didn't complete the challenge in time cause you were 9 minutes late so lose a point.
