You just don't want something with too much overlap.

JWT C2s and BC S2s are very popular on boosted cars.

Chiming in. JDM 350z cams (JWT S1 spec). Here's a vid before I installed the exhaust so you might be able to hear it as the sound is all motor with stock exhaust.
(Vid removed as its unaccesible, will update tonight)

Only 200whp 183lb/tq. But that was untuned, stock exhaust (so it wasnt flowing well) and got a CEL the same day. This year Im going back for a tune, added Greddy Evo exhaust, PFTB, NWP Spacers and BBMAF.

With cams and all the other stuff, I bet you'd have benefited from a 3"

3" is overkill. Im happy with the Greddy I got. 3" would be too loud and get me pulled over too much.

If you say so. I can say this for certain though... my 3" is pretty quiet. The locals like to complain that they can't hear me coming or going anymore

ES mounts correct? Your motor doesn't move at all. What else you got bracing that thing?

Just the ES motor mounts, also redid the bushings in the subframe while it was off. May not add power but honestly one of the best mods I've done.

I'm going to look up sound clips of the Cattman 3" exhaust to see how it sounds with Headers.

What would be the adverse affects of Adjusting the cam timing on a 3.0 since they don't have variable valve timing??

You would set it to a static value, so you either gain low/mid, or you gain high and lose some in the other.

Right, I Assume that is with adjusting both intake and exhaust cams the same direction. How about say advancing the intake cams and retarding the exhaust cams. Would that work the same way?

I'm not sure on the exact powerband effects of advancing/retarding the exhaust cam as I only have intake VTC and have only done my research pertaining to that.

Advancing the intake cam will gain you lowend/midrange, rougher idle (more overlap), and could lose top end. I've seen a lot of Z's that run full advance (20 degrees) from 3000-4500 or so, then go down to around -5 degrees retarded by 6500 for optimal power.

I just re-read this. OBXV2 are equal length. The V3's were supposed to be a revised design of the equal length.

IDK, my setup is Cattman gen3 headers 2.5 megan resonated testpipe and 2.5 Cattman catback. My set up is super quiet. Im thinking of going with a 3" catback just for the tone alone. My setup is a lil pitchy but not raspy at all.
