when it rains it pours

A week ago I took my 98 with 126k to get an alignment. They said I needed new cv axles in the front, so I took it to my mechanic and $400 later I noticed its leaking gear oil. I took it back and he changed the seal for just the price of the part. Then today I wake up to coolant leaking out from behind the passenger side wheel somwhere. I've heard potential problems are water pump or head gasket. I don't know how much more I can take, and my bank account either. Sorry just had to vent. I still love my max, I just hope I can fix it without it costing an arm and a leg.

interesting... cars less than 10 years old... and you have spent more in replacements than my car is worth...
While I have a nearly 20 year old car, and have spent less than half of what I paid for it fixing crap....: hide:

lol that is the way crap goes, sometimes.
I presume you have a left had drive; have you checked the heater lines, make sure they aren't busted, and the clamps are tight? if it is dripping behind the wheel (closer to the firewall), I would check that. I would also check to make sure the coolant hoses are good going to/from the radiator, too. cheaper/easier to rule out the simple stuff.

good to hear it was a cheap fix!
mine was this past month,
Front radi support 300$
followed by replacing the blown mounts 160$
then finding out an axel was busted before i could repair the support 130$
then my clutch started to slip- 100$
THEN my PROJECTOR BALLAST WENT OUT.... 80$
i drove it off a cliff this morning.
