I just ordered some drilled slotted rotors and im gonna be buying some pads as well.
What type of pads should i get. Im not a fast fast driver anymore. Im on some chill stuff now. What type of pads should i be looking for? Metallic? semi Metallic?
What name brands should i be getting
since ur not looking for a performance pad, look for ceramics....Quiet and dust less. As for the rotors, drilled rotors are well known for cracking. I dont care what they are bolted on, it happens.....Racers may use em and beat em up, but they have the money/sponsors to toss the rotors as needed so the cost factor may be null to them.
lifetime pads ok, but how harsh are they on ur rotors?
A lifetime warranty has no bearing on how hard the pads are or how much wear they put on your rotors. It just means that if (when) they do wear out, the store you bought them from will replace them.
Lots of lifetime warranties are `limited' lifetime warranties, meaning they are only good for the original purchaser.
I vote for the ceramics as well, considering your driving style. They will have a longer life, especially since the drilled and slotted rotors will shave more off the pad than an OEM vented rotor.
