HID question

Sorry, i wasn't sure where to post this. But i've been shopping around for HIDs for a while, and noticed on one site that i was referred to (http://forums.maxima.org/general-max...n/www.vvme.com) there's is a kit available with no wattage specified, and there is a 50-55W kit for about $20 more. Would the higher wattage simply mean the kit has a lot more light output?

The HID kit IS NOT bi-xenon, it's got the halogen bulb for high beams. Maybe the wattage refers to how bright the halogen is?

edit:just did a little research and answered my own question. found some info on a bimmer forum saying 55W's are significantly brighter than 35W's, and "way worth it"

55 watt HID kit in a halogen housing equals GLARE GLARE GLARE!! Do it right and retrofit projectors then you can really harness the power of 55watt HIDs.

Do it Greg I like the 5.5s one the 5th gens. I actually like the front bumper on the 5ths over the 5.5s so it's a perfect mix.

If you want the best light output, 4300k or 5000k is the best way to go. 6000k is going to have a slightly bluer hue.

Well if you get 55watt ballast you'll have to go up in temp to keep your color because the higher wattage washes out color.
