What Color should I Paint my Wheels to accomidate my car color? (Sterling Mist)

I have these wheels, but they are straight silver, and my car is a darker silver. Looks kinda weird.

Leave 'em the way they are. If you really feel the need to dress them up, you could always paint the little triangles near the center with a little darker shade of silver. But that's the most I'd do.

Bronze only works on Evos and Subies IMO. Or at least on a rim with a bit of a lip on it.

I agree! I think painting the entire rim bronze or gold would complement your car. Or you could try painting the rim red but leave the lip polished metal. Or bronze with a polished metal lip?

are you guys serious? Thats tacky as hell...

Im down with silver or graphite...but not bronze or red.

Would 1000 grit be good to remove the clear coat? Or is 2000 a must?

There is a guide on here somewhere, it should be in the HowTo section in the 4th Gen forum. But according the guide you should use that aircraft paint stripper.

And the color I guess has been decided, silver or graphite is nice. But it doesn't stand out; but its all good. Its just most OEM wheels on here I have seen are painted black, or the colors that you suggested.

Which is not a bad thing, its just nothing new.

None of the above.

Sell them to the nearest fisherman as those are boat anchors.

In all seriousness, go with what JNcoRacer said.

i did my own wheels with black semi gloss engine enamel and they came out great, a lot of people actually believed they were powder coated. but its the prep work you gotta do first...my wheels were chipping from clear coat too.

i took 200grit sand paper and did all the wheels, then steel wool, then 1500 grit, then primer paint etc...

but black might work with yours...try getting someone to photo shop them

you should do this color.. hasn't been used yet other then by me

Back to being serious, you should keep them stock color or paint them to match your car.. not a lot of colors go with silver unless you like bright wheels that stand out.. flat black or silver is my choice..

BBS makes a color called brilliant silver, it would be cool to do and/or model that color on those wheels. I think it really sets off pearl and gold cars, especially a night.

YUK!!

You should leave them the same color/get them painted stock color again. and maybe you could fill in the little triangle thing thats towards the center with black that would look tits.
