Need AE Rear Bumper in CT

Hey there org members, often lurker, not often poster. I was hit two weeks ago in my 2001 AE on the interstate. It is a borderline total and the last remaining item that my bodyshop is struggling to find is the 20th AE rear bumper. He has not been able to locate a used one and Nissan no longer makes them. Anyone with a lead on one it would be most appreciated! Please let me know too if a standard 00-01 can be used with some sort of kit that is still available for the ground effect.

Sorry, but need the info really fast. The insurance man is haggling to settle this thing up.

TIA!!!

cv

p.s. apologies for the post in general (I also posted to 5th), but I am running out of time to find this part.

You need the rear 3piece AE valance that are bolted on to the bumper. I believe even if you can locate a dealership that stock the AE valance, it would only be 2 pieces IICR. Only factory AEs are equipped with full 3 pieces. Try posting in 5th gen subforum. I remember there was a guy (who drives a beautiful white ae) that works at a Nissan dealership and he quoted me roughly around $500+ for the rear I think...
Good luck though!

I was going to point you to the replicas, but they did a limited run and didn't get too many interests, so I think they stopped. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to talk to them.

They are shipping one out to me to arrive next week. The auto shop already started ordering parts locally including the 00-03 bumper. He convinced the insurance adjuster to let them fix the vehicle and got the price down to within a hair of where they would have totaled it. While I was somewhat excited to go buy a new Max, the timing is very bad for a car payment right now so I am glad to be getting my "baby" back.

As long as there's no frame damage then I'm happy you're able to save it from a salvage title. Remember to post some pix!!
