Are those Nismo oil cap knockoff?

I have been considering to buy Nismo oil cap. The dealership carrys Nismo parts that they cost 65 bucks. But on Ebay, I seen those Aluminum Oil cap with a Nismo label that goes for 7 bucks a pop. Are those knock off or the real McCoy? It appears to be knock off since I saw other exact oil caps on ebay with TRD (Toyota Racing development) label on it. What do you guys think? Also if anyone has one of those, how was the quality of the cap and fitment?

There is a fake one? I definitely am going to try and pick one of those up...never understood why people would pay $30-60 US for an oil cap.

How can you say no one can tell their fake?????

Can you spot the fake,..... of course you can.
Its a cosmetic mod, theirs no benifet except to the eye.
I use to have one, but couldnt deal with how it looked. I now have a real one.
If your going to do somthing for its cosmetic appeal, dont be cheap about it
do it all out or not at all.

Who cares if the $7 oil cap is 'ghey' or what? Some people say Altezza taillights are 'ghey'. Fact of the matter is, its a COSMETIC mod.. if it looks 'good' to you (the owner of the car).. then that's ALL it matters. Not everyone can drop $65 on an oil cap (Nismo or not). Those 'eBay' oil caps are the same ones I raffled off at this year's NE meet. IM0- For $7 or whatever price they go for online, they sure as heck look better than the black plastic stock oil cap. No one complained about fitment.

No way...generic knockoff crap is stupid PERIOD. Whether you're talking about Folex watches or FNismo caps.

Who you foolin? All you're doing is being tacky and tasteless and making yourself look stupid.

Yes...to each his/her own. But if you rock this cap, I won't be the only one shaking my head and rolling my eyes.

Disclaimer: this isn't directed at anyone in particular, so hopefully nobody gets offended by my $.02...

If I looked under the hood of some guy who was mildly modded, if modded at all mechanically, and saw that he spent $50 US on a real nismo cap, I would laugh my a$$ off.

same here. But some people just have to accessorize with all the Vtec,NOS, and GT-R stickers and 50 foot wings.

Ok, But the real item to address is, WHY sport the fake Nismo cap?
If all you want to do is dress up the engine bay for cheap, why not just get the plain aluminum oil cap?
Why the FAKE Nismo cap?
If you dont want to spend that type of money on it, dont. No need to reperesent with some fake @ss cheap knock off immatation and try and pass it off as an authentic Nismo oil cap.

OK. $65 oil cap.

do I have to say anything else?

mang, buy the fake one. if anyone asks tell em its fake and it cost you $7 compared to $65. If they laugh thats on them. I would laugh at you if you bought a $65 oil cap.

Some of you are totally missing the point of my statement, that FLAVOR427 seems to have caught.

I'm not arguing whether one works better than the other (if they both fit fine, then it's the same). I'm not arguing that you should spend more for overpriced Nismo parts (although at shows it may help).

What I AM saying is if you want a cheap oil cap, don't get the FAKE Nismo one. There are lots of nice looking billet caps in different colors and styles.

Point: Fake stuff is gay.

IDK the real nismo cap is nice and i agree that if ur gunna buy somthing to dress up ur engine fake is kinda cheezy but hey i just got a replica injen intake for 33 bucks off ebay instead of paying 250 to have the injen name slapped all over it and for any one that says your paying for the qaulity i think that bs cause i bought alotta name brand shyt and just cause it has a popular name on it doesnt mean its gunna last longer or work better happy with my purchase and the 250 thats still in my pocket.

The Nismo radiator cap actually is better than stock. Holds more pressure.

This thread should probably be locked or deleted...it is pretty gay. Seems like some people either get it or they don't, and continue to be tacky. Rappers are great examples of that haha...
