Dude you just gotta stop shifting from R to D while the car is still moving , I've seen the A/T make it way up there in mileage

That's kinda cool how you know how I drive my car without even knowing me.... I've had 4 auto maxima's and is going on 7 transmission even if I did do such thing then I'm sure id learn by now.... 2 of the maxima's I didn't even own long enough for the trans to go...yes SOME trans do last forever Sho off is going on 210K and 24K made it to probebly 180K on their original trans however the minority of long lifed transmission doesn't make up for the majority of week auto trans.... 1sexyleo is on 4 on her 5.5 also...

Scottwax- You know you are driving a VQ when even at $4 a gallon for premium you still take the long way home.

My parents have told me countless times, if your low on gas leave it in the driveway. My one and only answer. "You don't understand"

You know your driving a VQ when the WRX at the stoplight revs first. Then when it turns green he waits a sec and wonders why your already across the intersection. Then he floors it.

You know you're driving a VQ when it rattles for a split second when you start it and then runs Lexus smooth and quiet the rest of the time (Lexus's don't rattle when you start them...)

You know you're driving a VQ when you feel like you've got a fast car until you get smoked by someone who actually HAS a fast car... (VQ30's here anyhow...)

You know you're driving a VQ when you surprisingly throw your passengers back into their seats!

You know you're driving a VQ when cam adapters keep you up at night (read some threads where they broke)

You know you're driving a VQ when you have to replace your motor mounts.

You know you're driving a VQ when you get wheel hop!

You must have gotten a special VQ...the NVH the VQ past 4-5k is actually pretty bad.

Go test drive a new Jetta and then tell me the VQ is smooth and quiet up to redline.

You know you're driving a VQ when your 5 year old in the back giggles when you take off from a light and calls it the "rock and roll car"

You know you're driving a VQ when your original clutch finally goes out at 180k.

You know you're driving a VQ when you rationalize doing headers/Y pipe and a 00VI swap on a car with 180k, because you know it's good for another 100k.

You know you're driving a VQ when you leave newer, more powerful cars in the rear view with a bad case of butthurt and buyers remorse, scratching their heads wondering how they got brushed off by a rusty 17 year old car.

mine has 198K and still spins tires in 2nd gear pretty nice sometimes even a small "squeak" in 3rd...

but you know you are driving a VQ manual when you are being chased in traffic by a 2012 Maxima and at the last traffic light he asks you to check you brake light as that they are not on... my answer was: "i have something in my maxima that you will never have in yours.... GEARS"
