A Final Tribute to MAXimumHP’s Max

The time has come for the Maxima and myself to part ways. Unfortunately, I need to sell the car or at least part it out, so I figured I’d show it off one more time.

The car:
1999 Manual SE-L Black on Black leather loaded, 75,000mi. I drove about 200 miles to get this car 6 years ago. It was optioned exactly how I wanted, so I made the trip Throughout those years I’ve done a lot of work on this car, and has been without a doubt the best car I’ve ever owned. I use it as a daily driver, competitively on road courses, drags, to get the groceries, and haul people around all reliably and economically. Below I have some pictures and captions for your viewing pleasure:

Few shots of the car:

Data logging, WBO2 etc.

Media, GPS etc.

Most electronics including the Emanage are hidden under the dash behind the cover on the right side:

Man what a car, you have done such a great job modding your maxima. Your maxima is what I'd like mine to be like. It would be sad to demod but sometimes its hard to sell a modded car. Is the car listed for sale. Good luck with everything.

Dude, this car only has 75,000 miles and that's considered to be very low mileage for that typical car in that typical year. I would go crazy to get a another low mileage max. I am also a low mileage max but are you sure you want to part It away? I will be honest these cars are great thank god and I did not have any mechanical problems (KNOCK ON WOOD),forcept the wear and tear like tires brakes axles ect. I would think twice before I start parting it out or selling it and don't make a big mistake in selling and then you wished you sill had it. It's your call. Goodluck

I would love to keep it, but I'm having serious money issues and need cash ASAP. I need about 15 grand within a year or so to avoid legal actions. It's a long story with a former employer. Unfortunately, this is the only thing I own that's worth anything. Beyond that, maybe I'm just trying to convince myself, but it is almost 10 years old and honestly I've lost ambition to work on it. Maybe I just need something new or a different hobby for a while?? I am hoping to possibly keep the car if I can drum up the money with other stuff and the parts from the car. I could keep driving it as a daily driver then since this thing's got lots of years left. I've literally never had a problem that I didn't create by moding with this car.

To the person who asked, last dyno was about 275 to the wheels, probably more now it's been a while.

It has low miles because I've always had beaters I drive in the winter and when working on my car. It's getting up there faster now because I have a full sized truck and you can guess why I'm not driving that around everywhere. (It's nice to have 300hp and still get 28mpg) I figure I could get close to 5 grand for the mods, so you couple that with the car which is worth probably at least 6, that puts it over 10k, and I just don't see anyone buying it for that. I may try briefly, or maybe remove the S/C and manifold and try to sell it locally for a couple grand over BB.

I just want to say that you have done a great job of modding this maxima. I only wish my maxima could look and perform like yours someday. If I had $11,000 I would buy it off you right now. I hope everything works out for you and you can be happy in the long run. Good luck

If your having money issues instead of trying to sell your car you can try carloan the money loan. This is how they work you have to sell the title and they will cash the value of the car in cash to you ASAP. I am not sure If they are BS or It's good but It's a try for quick cash. If your selling the car with the mods or not I am sure It will be hard to get the money that you want $11-10k I am sure there will be lot's of second thoughts on this. People prefer to get a cheap deal for someting this nice and this good.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your troubles. My wife stop working a couple months ago after having our son. It can get pretty tough. I really want your rims, but I don't have the money.

Move to Mexico.
Keep the Max!

If you have ABS, and heated perforated leather seats (cold weather package) with side air bags, than you truly have a rare car with low mileage.

Regardless, real nice Max.

Nice car man, and it will be a shame to see it go. Hopefully if you are forced to get it, it goes to a true maxima enthusiest who wont kick the crap out of it.

The Wizard:

I have a 98 With the heated leather seats, vlsd 5spd, abs, and auto climate control etc. does that mean my cars rare :P

Nice Max.. Just a question though.. for your Mods list you have the 00VI and you are using the 300zx injectors. I think thats a mistake on your mod list.

Holy crap, this is my twin car...not even kidding, the only difference is the audio equipment (I still have stock Bose stuff). No joke though, same year, same options, same wheels, same VI, same supercharger, and the list goes on.

Nice work man, Its my TWIN!

If you can picture someone driving it away without feeling suicidal, then it's time. Otherwise, I'd say demod a bit to get you over the hump and keep driving it...or sell the truck!

Too nice of a car, only you know it inside and out. Very nicely modded!

Very clean! Well done. Time to move on huh? I did too.

Wow, neat, the CarPuter setup caught my eye. If you're parting that out... Heehee. I'll be watching the for-sale forum for those stuff.

Good luck dood. Situation's tough for many now, I feel you on that.
