ill drive my max hard at times, especially from a dead stop, but i wouldnt say i drive like a ***, i mean ill usually stick between 5-10mph over the speed limit thru town and 10+ mph over the speed limit on the highway, dependin on how im feelin ill really step on it but still courtiest to other drivers i.e. not tailgatin or cuttin off, rather not b labeled a ******* just cuz i like to go fast

i learned this a few months ago from another post, but the read outs for 02/03 maxima's MPG is about 4 mpg OVER what it actually gets....i cringed at this and did some calculating..filled up my tank, reset the trip... then repeated and figured the MPG... it said 26.5 on the display, i actually got approx 23 mpg

I drive the $hit-Box-O-Death like I stole it every day. In traffic I drive with the flow, and mind my manners. On a entrance ramp, I can help but romp it. There are two streaches of interstate on the way to and from work, that I regularly get up to 140 and back to the limit within a half mile or so. Right now she is tuned to 347 HP & 350 TQ and I can get 32 MPG on the interstate at 70 MPH at 1250 degrees F EGT. On a regular basis with moderate boosting, I usually get around 25 MPG; heavy boost, I just fill up the tank and start over again.

Ha, I don't know about that. I have driven my ex-girlfriend's 2006 1.8L Special Edition Sentra and of course my 4th gen Maxima and I'm inclinded to disagree with you there. What year and trim level is your Sentra?

I haven't driven the XRS but I did drive a 2003 6 speed Celica GTS when I was thinking about buying another car. The VVTL-I was great when it kicked in. However, I would prefer the K20 over the Celica's engine anyday.

Only people who drive Sentras should make such ignorant statements.

I shall be on topic. So, I'm usually pretty calm about driving, but occasionally...

Like last night. Me and my friends were going to go get some pizza. Where we live, we have to get on the highway. So, I go kind of easy in the residential area and let them both pass me. They get pretty far ahead, so I hit the accelerator pretty hard. Well, I get on the on ramp and kind of slide into the lane. I pass my friend in his S10 and my other friend in his Volvo station wagon. I had to wait a good minute for them to get into the parking lot in the end. I love my baby. So, yeah. I have those moments where I have to get fast.

Yeah, I have to admit that I did some "spirited" driving yesterday. It was just one of those days where I wanted a little more excitement on my trip to orchestra pratice. Most of the time I am very laid back as shown by my first post in this thread.

I do a lot of highway driving so its fun to set the cruise at 80 and then punch it hard to go around some dumbass that doesnt realize the left lane is not for driving 55 mph, its for REAL DRIVERS. Sometimes I'll look down and see 95-100 mph and not even realize it.

Take it easy on city driving unless the same situation happens and slow people make me have to floor it and do some swerving. I make sure to look over at them and make eye contact to reassure them they are terrible behind the wheel.

I enjoy cutting ppl off if they are on their cell phones, especially if they are stuck in the middle lane with their turning signal on for 3 mins straight. makes me big time !

i seriously can't help this at all. When on an onramp i keep at least 150 yards behind the car in front and maintain 4th gear sometimes even 3rd depending on how fast the car in front is going. Then when the ramp finally opens up to the highway i mash on the pedal and rocket up the rest of the onramp and into the fastlane and ppl seem to be surprised how quickly i get up to speed with the traffic that is already on the highway. they dont expect it. i probably burn an entire gallon of gas doing it but its worth it.

My driving habits have changed quite a bit from when I started driving, the last few years in my chevy it's been speed limit except on interstate 10 over and defensivly. With this being my 1st new car I'm babying the heck outta my new max.
