I'm trying to figure out if my tranny is on it's way out or not...
Check that .. it is on it's way out.. just wanna know how long i have ???

Anything i can look for, or feel, to tell me if my tranny is about to die ???

when the car is cold the tranny kinda bangs into 2nd gear..
once it warms up shift are very smooth... a 1-2 shift at 2000-3000 rpm is not even noticable once it warms up a bit....

I really appreciate any input on this...

Thanx

Oh and please don't post to make fun of slushbox.. that will hurt my feelings .....

Do your auto tranny a favor and flush the tranny fluid. The symptom seems to caused by low fluid level.

I am

I was supposed to flush it two weeks ago..
but then the idea of the VB mod got me thinking..

And since the VB mod will leak 4-5 quarts of fluid i thought i might as well do it at the same time...

how is your VB 1MAX2NV ?
is it worth it ?

Where's don ??? i need a VB...

Re: I am

The VB body is fine. Don't have any problems with it. I'm looking into a high stall torque convertor. Suppose to make the auto tranny launch like a ****. $495 plus installation ~$200 range. If you are flushing with regular ATF, I wouldn't wait until the VB upgrade. 1q of regular ATF is like $1.50. I wasted 5 quarts of Redline ATF at $7 a quart.
