There are different systems for different purposes. If you try and put hydraulics on a Maxima, you will kill it. It can be done, but hydros are for older cars with frames that can withstand the abuse. Theres also airbags, which are like hydraulics, but a whole lot slower and can be used on newer cars. Then theres fastbacks, which are like hydros and airbags. They use the technology of airbags at the speed of hydraulics. Those are what the white del sol in the fast and the furious had. Fastbacks can also be used safely on modern cars. The downfall is for all of these, expect to have to cut up your car....

It's fastbags, not fastbacks. Fastbags have a thicker line allowing the bags to dump the air very fast allowing the car to drop hard. The thinner the line the slower you can slam the car. They can range anywhere from $1600-$3000 depending on what you want. My friend owns a shop here that does them. Airbags are much better than hydros because they do not sacrifice your ride and they sound cooler when letting out the air pressure.

Check these pages-->

Heres one company, they quoted me $1500+/- for manual valve and $1800 for electronic: http://www.udshardware.com/

and another: http://www.excentrixauto.com/

now thats just for the kit, as for the install prices, I'm not sure!?
