Airbag light is blinking ..... help
Can anyone please tell me how do I reset the Airbag light? It has been blinking since I disconnected it in order to Clean my Blower motor for the AC.
I found some thread that advised to press the door button 10 times or so. But I think it owrks only for the older models coz it didnt work for me.
Can anyone please help ?

turn the key to on , Then move you''re steering wheel back and forth 50 times fully , Then Open you're passengers side door and get out and do a handstand.
Just kidding , I dont know what gen you have but with 2nd gens all you have to do is dissconnect the batt for about 15 mins and it will reset it self.
Hope that helps.

If disconnecting your battery doesn't do the trick, you may want to consider taking the car in and having the light problem diagnosed. I did the battery thing and it didn't work for me. My light turned out to be the drivers side seat belt, which carries a lifetime warrenty. Nissan replaced the driver's belt coil behind the seat at no charge. I've got a 2001 with 100K miles on it. I don't know if this is true or not, but the mechanic told me that when the light comes on there is a short in the system, and until it is fixed the air bag will not deploy.

To my knowledge if there is a short, the lisgt will stay on...... not blink. Coz when i took out the fuse for the airbag the light stopped blinking and it just stayed on. So i'm guess its not a short. I think I just need to reset the airbag. in the older models, pressing the door button 7 times in 5 secs would work but I tried it with mine and it didnt.

Try this sequence (this is for 2000-01)
Turn key to on position for 7 seconds. (Don't start car)
Then off for 3 seconds
On for 7 sec
Off for 3 sec
On for 7 sec
Off for 3 sec
Then turn key to the on position for 30 sec.
Then turn it off for 1 sec, then on for 1 sec, then off.
Wait 1 min, then start the car and light should be off.
(this proccedure should cycle the air bag system in and out of diagnostic mode, so that it can see that everything is OK and turn off the light.)
Let me know if it works.

It's not a joke and you NEED to do that. I did it on my first try in the parking lot of my gym, it's easy as hell. The only thing I'd advise is that you use a stopwatch when timing the intervals as the 7/3 marks need to be hit fairly dead on.

1) Turn ignition switch “ON”.
2) After “AIR BAG” warning lamp lights for 7 seconds(WAIT FOR IT TO START BLINKING BEFORE YOU COUNT THE SEVEN SECONDS), turn ignition switch “OFF” within 1 second.
3) Wait more than 3 seconds.
4) Repeat steps 1 to 3 twice (Perform 3 times in total).
5) Turn ignition switch “ON”.
SRS will not enter Diagnosis mode, if no malfunction is detected.

If you dont have any problems with actual air bag system this is the phone number where you can send module for reset 905-6730090 and they charge CAN 120. But befor you do that make sure that the whole system is connected properly. Last time I had my seat removed from I 35, Bag light was on I had to replug connector under the seat and after that all was fine. Unplug battery wait couple minutes and double check all connectors. Also not sure how you disconnected that air bag connector maybe you did something to it? At the dealer they can tell you where is the problem so maybe it is good idea just to go for diag. so after that you will know where to look for that problem.

Need Help
I have the airbag light flashing for one day now. I tried the 7second 3second method described above(waiting for the light to flash before I start counting) I am having no luck with this and its frustrating. I had a new GOLD diehard battery installed two weeks ago and am wondering if this could have caused this. PLEASE HELP because I don't want to go to the stealership for this because I know it can be fixed easy. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT.....
