Been a while.... I saw a GHOST!

Wow, I haven't been here in over a year.. the forum software tells me I last visited 6/10/2005. Anyway for those who don't know me I used to be a frequent contributor here. I drove a sage mist green 97 SE. Long story short it kept having issues so I got rid of it and replaced it with a 98 Corvette. We kept the maxima for a while but then traded it in for a 04 Honda Civic.

So today, I bought some new wheels for the 'vette and drove them to my usual place to get the tires mounted. I took them around the back of the shop, and there is a holding area looks like for cars traded in without tags etc. Low and behold, I saw this sage mist green 4th gen Max sitting there. I thought to myself- could it be? I walked closer and saw some body damage I was familiar with (mostly the lower front right fender). Then I walked around to the back, and saw my big *** exhaust tip that was still attached to the OEM exhaust. Yup. That was mine alright... haha. I'm thinking what are the chances of actually seeing that headache again. Hopefully it was destined for the scrap yard

Anyway I just wanted to say whats up.

Ahhh you guys still remember me! Esp. the bird.. hahaha. Anyway, I went back to pick up my rims today and asked about that car. The dealer that I was at bought the Max at local auction (no surprise considering it was traded in at the Honda dealer down the street). It was sold to one of the employees there, who fell behind in payments and then the car was repossessed. So for now, I believe they are going to recondition it and sell it as a used car.

Ahh who could forget the couch cushion burnout haha! I haven't done anything quite like that with the vette, guess I've grown up a little . Although I have taken it offroad using snow tires.

I should have told the dealer who now has the max that it's been drag raced, off roaded, set on fire.. muhahaha.

I've only been on here once in the past year or so myself. Maybe the hot weather bringing out the ghosts!

Vettes doin good, esp for an american car haha. Its got minor things breaking down here and there, but I have yet to blow the tranny.

As for the pillow burnout, about 5 years ago I had the bright idea to burn out over some couch cushions and pillows that I pulled out of a dumpster. Made feathers fly everywhere. I didn't realize that I had a couch cushion still stuck under my car, so I drove off. All of the sudden my friends asked me why the woods were glowing. I pulled over, it turns out that the couch cushion that was stuck had caught fire on the catalytic. Goodthing I had a mini fire extinguisher handy and put it out. Ironically a cop drove by, saw this happening, questioned me and I told him I accidentally drove over some couch cushions and they might have caught fire.
