If You Get A Ticket, Read This Before Posting A Stupid Thread About It!!!!!!:::::

Since at least 5x a week we have people posting retarded threads saying "I GOT A TICKET, HOW CAN I GET OUT OF IT" or "STUPID COP GAVE ME A TICKET" or whatever, here is a LINK to all of the equally stupid threads on the subject that other people have posted. So....stop posting your own stupid threads and just read all of these, and you'll get every type of idiotic advice out there on how to get out of a ticket, get out of jail, get out of that murder you committed, etc etc. These posts cover all sorts of stupid illegal car activities...speeding, reckless, DUI, tint, etc...

Enjoy, and never post a stupid thread about getting tickets again

ALSO: PLEASE do not post in any of these threads or bump them to the top. They are stupid threads, and do not deserve to be bumped!

IRISH44J, Nice to see someone with the guts to tell those idiots to stop the inane posts. If they had half a brain they'd know to talk to a dui lawyer, and not to us! Speeding, and all the other stupid driving will get you tickets, and the best way to avoid tickets is not to drive like you deserve one! Earl

A simple reply to anyone that might ask again on how to get out of a ticket... Tell em to pay it and deal with the fact that they screwed up... Don't speed, no worries, don't tint to 40% and no worries.

Hear, hear. But that doesn't that tint part depend on locality? Here in NM your tint only has to let in 20% of the light to be legal.

I never got the point of tints, If i'm racing somebody i want them to see me and i want to see them. Besides, i have nothing to hide--If I did it wouldn't be in my car.

None of those worked. Help people. Of course it depends on the state for tints.

pretty sure tints are to keep direct sunlight out in places like whre i live , houston. gets hot as a mother@@#$ 9 months of the year

now if u are not sure why ppl tint different colors and put reflective glass and stuff on it...u got me there. ppl like to waste money these days...

Got me a ticket that didn't realize I had gotten until a couple days ago when I got a license suspension in the mail. It was for "parking the wrong way on a two-way street" in the back of a neighborhood!

They sent you a license suspension by mail? Ghey. I got a 96 in a 55 not too far from Lawrenceville recently while driving my 97 SE...then two days later, I was driving my friend's 94 and got pulled over AGAIN for a 73 in a 35! (In my defense, I was driving down the deserted road we live on and most people go at least 55.) I'm an idiot, I know, but at least I didn't go post in a random forum looking for legal advice....

Speaking of tickets, sometimes the honest approach works. One day I was hauling butt in my old MK2 Golf on the way to work and got nailed. I went to court, told the DA exactly that and I definitely am probably not going to do it again seeing how expensive tickets and insurance increases are, then I asked if there was anything that could be done.

I got it reduced to a 1 point defective headlight ticket.

Check the state in which you live because you may be able to fight your ticker through the mail. In California, we have what's called Trial by Written Declaration which allows you to contest the ticket without showing up for court. The good thing about this is the cop that gave you a ticket does not get paid overtime for writing their side of the story and more often than not they simply do not submit the paperwork in time. This leads to a not guilty verdict for you! It has worked for me so far.

+1 be honest

Most of the time when people get tickets they are in the wrong but the cop is always the a$$hole. If you don't want a ticket then obey the law. Must cops are cool if you talk to them like the have sense you might even get a ticket or have to go to court. But when they run your name and they can see how many ticket you got and that plays a big part on if your gonna get another then. If the Cop runs your name and you have a bunch of ticket then you most likely gonna get another one, but if he runs you name and nothing then you might get one.

Hey not all cops agree with the tint law...the cop that nailed me last December was so bored he figured he needed some excitement and gave me a 48 hour. My tint was not that much and was totalylegal when I had it installed in 2005. Then they passed a law and made it illegal for a certain amount of tint...now no one in his or her right mind will tint a front window as no one is sure how much is legal and the majority don't want the hassle of having to have it checked. What I don't like: 1 is that Limos are still allowed to tint...so what's the point? 2. Is that the law is retroactive! They don't care that when you paid to have it done it was legal. And what is legal in some places is illegal in others when it comes to this stupid law so why bother in the first place?

fyi...tint is a safety issue...first off its to dark tint its tougher to see out at night , limiting ur visibility...which can affect a ton of diffrent situations..and for the COPS the safety issue is... if he's approaching a vehicle with tint so dark u cant see inside the car...if some scumbag criminal with ten warrants(who kno's he's goin to jail) is sitting there pointing a gun to take the cop out...the cop has no chance. For those of people who just have "limo" tint to be cool in states where its cold all the time, u shud expect to get stopped at some piont. Especially in Mayberry where the cops are board. Put ur self in the Cops shoes...wud u wanna be shot....and dont say Its part of his job, thats ignorant.

tickets are lame. always sux to get one. remember though, if you are civil with the officer, they usually respond better to that than some smart remark. the other hand some cops are just cops, got picked on in HS and are out to ruin peoples days/lives.

can't we all just get along?

I think that if you live in a big city that cops really dont mess with you unless you speed. Especially in you're driving out in the suburbs. I used to live in a big city, then moved to a smaller town and I got stopped like 4 or 5 times already. For some stupid stuff too.. Mirrored Tints, going to fast at a yield sign (OMG). even got a DUI there too hahahaha..
