How much does it cost to repair bent rims?
Im about to purchase a set of rims from my friend, and he told me there are two small bends on two of the rims. Its not big bends but im just worried it will get worse if I dont repair them.
How much does it usually cost to repair two bent rims? They are bent in the front not the back of the rim.
its almost like these but a bit more visible...
if the costs are high, i might as well buy a new set.... any help is appreciated.

wheels america fixes them for $125 per wheel, flat rate.
But I hope you don't plan on doing any racing on them. it's a wreck waiting to happen as repaired rims are NEVER as strong as they were originally.

www.truwheel.com they have a flat rate of $100 a wheel they are in los angeles , i had my volk racing wheels re-done on my turbo sentra and they came out flawless, the turnaround was about a week

Are those the actual wheels? Good luck getting that forged SSR fixed.
I had damage on my Centerlines that "looked" pretty minor (didn't look as bad as that SSR), but upon further review, the entire rim was slightly warped. Not counting curb scraping, forged rims are stronger and tend to damage the entire rim, not just the lip when you bend part of it.
I sent one to Wheels America and they wouldn't fix it, since the entire rim was very slightly warped. I sold them to an .org member as track use only rims since they were not repaired and still structurally sound. I detailed all of the information, too. I wasn't trying to hide anything.

If you are talking about the SSR's that are for sale in DC, I have been contacting places on fixing the same set of wheels. 3 places have now told me they cannot fix those wheels. I am interested in the wheels as well, and I am only waiting to hear back from one other place, but I am guessing the answer will be the same. Especially on that one wheel with the more severe damage, I am almost positive that wheel will break during the process of trying to fix it.

Uhhh, you're selling a set of bent rims for TRACK USE ONLY? why not just sell them a stick of dynamite with a fuse of unknown length. If it's going to break anywhere, it's goign to break on the track...
as for the link above, MOST wheels will crack when you try to bend them back into shape. it also ruins the heat treatment on the aluminum (ALL aluminum wheels- cast or forged- have heat treatments on them to make them stronger), and that will cause them to bend even easier next time, or crack in the location where it goes from one heat treatment to another.
Repaired wheels are simply unsafe in ANY venue- street or track.

Didnt know they could be repaired. It also seems to be a bad idea to bother repairing them. I dented one of my stockers really bad so I just bought a used one off of ebay for $80. new would have been like $300.

it's not that the accident had nothing to do with the rims, but they were damaged in the process of the wreck, and damaged more when the car was flipped over.
for the cost of repairing those wheels, you can almost buy another set of them brand new.
