Pics of Intelliglow Needles Installed
#1
Pretty simple install, just have to take your time and follow the directions closely. They look great, they give the circle of the guage a nice blue tint ring while turning the background of the guage to a nice navy blue. Not to mention the needle is all lit up. Picture sucks because it doesn't like taking night pictures, but it gives you an idea what they look like.

They aren't too bright, it's just the camera doing that. The needles also have a voltage regulator so you can dim them. Basically you pull out the cluster, pull the needles off put the lights underneath the needle and put the needle back on making sure you marked it's calibration point. Then just wire it to the back of the cluster with two screws and you are done.

Well I guess you could say they might clash with the windows switches and the signals, but now that the guages are blue I was thinking of just redoing all the lights... this rice boy thing is starting to set in. But I'm probably going to take it apart again and do a writeup and post it on here. The needle part is not as bad as everyone claims they are, you just have to be careful and go slowly. I had no problems at all. Took me about 3 hours total, one hour and half to figure out how to do the first one and decypher their instructions and then another hour and a half to finish the rest of them. I took my time though, this is not something you want to rush through.

For now you can get them from here http://www.bee.net/a2low240/gauges/intelliglow.html
I may look into creating a variation of this kit though, it's given me some ideas.

Yeah, if I can find a clear needle that will fix 98+ Maxima's I can build the rest of it. It's really simple how it's made. Any ideas?

Also, i dont see any price? I clicked the order button and still no price.
Do these come as a kit (one for spedo, one for tach, one for gas, one for engine temp) or do you have to by each one sepertly?
How much was total, if bought seperate?
Thanks

They were the stock orange ones, I had to sand off the paint on the back and then add a thin layer of white paint to reflect the blue light. My needles are white now, it was weird at first to get used to them during the day because it's white on white guage but it's doable. Besides I do most my driving at night.

The needles are clear with red/orange paint on the back of it, none on the front, it just gives the illusion it is. Just sand off the back and change it to white. If you don't change it to white, it might not shine that blue.

matt from importintelligence.com is in the process of making my carbon fiber gauges with a custom logo from jeff on top of the fiber.. he is also sending me hyper red needles, if i dont like the way the red turns out i may be sanding and painting as well.. too bad my background is all black so i wont get the same brightness, but during the day my gauges will be awesome.. we lined up a little sponsorship too

I've done this...
Bigsaddler-When you put that sticker on your gauge face(carbon fiber look) Make sure you leave lots and lots of space between your needle and gauge face. I have 1 needle stuck because of this, and I've heard of a lot of people with the same problem.
Ants-Did you put the LED lights on the top or below the gauge face? I've noticed yours are much brighter than mine. Maybe I just need to turn up the power on the dimmer switch, can you see your needles during the day? I have white gauge faces and white needles... need I say more?
Anyone who decides on this mod-Read the hints and tips section from the vendor, it tells your how to sand down the gauge to make the LED lights to sit flush, I would recommend this because your end up with a variance of height on the gauge face, and my cause subsequent needle sticking.

Hrm, bringing up old stuff... they won't be bright if you didn't remove the orange stuff and replace it with white paint like some people have done. I still love them and they still work like a charm since the day I installed them.

What color was your needles????
I have a 97 with red needles. I got the same kit you got and it isn't as bright as yours. How many bulbs did your large needles come with? My kit came with three small bulbs for each of the large needles and 1 for each of the small needles.
