Honestly I think you're looking at $500+ in most cases for the clutch. The parts are cheap - it's the labour

Labor runs you anywhere from $250 to 500. It all depends on where you are and who you ask. Don't cheap out on the parts either!

$150 for the clutch kit off of ebay and installed it my self(see web site for pics).
its really not as hard as you think it would be, just look at the links on here and buy a haynes manual and you'll be set to go, and have a entire day free to do it, expect 6-8 hours

My Nissan dealer did it for me for $409 w/labor.

They used the "Key Value" clutch ... which was the worst thing ever put in my car ... but they never informed me I had options ... I just assumed they'd put in what they took out ... Sorry ... I'm still ranting about this. My point is be careful what you're getting.

OEM clutch is DEFINITELY the way to go and it probably only would have run me $50 more - max. I say you can get the OEM clutch online for $225 (maybe less? Haven't priced it lately) and you can find someone near you on this board who can help or you can usually get discounted service at the right local meineke/equivalent. Putting a clutch in isn't a brainless task, but definitely not the hardest thing for a sober, certified mechanic to do.

Post here when/if you find the lowest price on the OEM clutch.

FYI ... Key Value Clutch is one part number ... comes as a kit. OEM clutch is separate pieces - disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing.

I bought the Exedy OEM replacement off ebay for an amazing $120 shipped. It's been great! Grabs just as good as OEM albeit with a slightly softer pedal.

250 with hookups, and probably around 500 around shops.

I put in an exedy stage 1 peformance clutch and it's pretty good so far. Like mentioned before, never get the key value crap that Nissan sells. I had to call a couple dealerships and asked them for the JDM clutch. Only 2 within a 50mi. radius sold em.
