Exhaust Rattle

I've got a complete 3" exhaust, and the b-pipe rattles against the exhaust tunnel, which I expected and new would most likely happen when I installed it.

I've tried re-aligning it several times, and it doesn't really help. Does anyone have any experience with a material that would stop the rattling and be safe to place against the exhaust?

what about bending the hangers so its cocked to one side a little more?

anyways when i bought my car one of the exhaust hangers was broken and i assume it had been rattling against the exhaust tunnel, so the previous owner had stuffed some sort of fibrous fabric in between the exhaust and the tunnel. not sure what the stuff was, but it was thick and fibrous kindof like fiberglass or asbestos.

The pipe is actcually hitting the TOP of the exhaust tunnel. Lowering it isn't an option, as its already plenty low enough. I've dragged it a few times already.

Fiberglass or other high temp insulation might work. I was also thinking of several layers of exhaust wrap.

Why not try tightening the rubber hangers so that the exhaust doesnt move at all.

Why not just weld it to the frame then?

The exhaust needs to move. Espescially considering how often it bottoms out and needs to bounce, or it will be damaged.

It will still move but since rubber thangers are still holding them, they will move slightly and wont move enough to bang. Why not try it.
