I need some 235/45/17 tires as my crappy Centennials are almost worn out. I'm not looking for a performance tire, just something cheap with good mileage and a smooth, quiet ride? Any tires fit the bill?

You live in TX or the South? Go with Dunlop SP9000 (these replaced the SP8000, I think). Best tire for warmer climates. If you get some snow in your area during colder months, opt for the Dunlop SP5000 which offers a little better snow traction. Plus the tread is cool-looking in 50 series or lower. More info on TireRack's website.

Hey man, Kumho 712's... $100 a pop, actually pretty darn good tires.

BTW, did you know about my recent purchase?

Holy shiznit!

You bought an S2000! I didn't know that. Shows how long I've been off the board. How long have you had it and when are you bringing it to Dallas so I can drive it? Sweet man, guess you won't be needing the CRX anymore. Feel like donating to charity? Seriously though, I know your woman lives up here so we need to get together for some drinks. Let me know when you're in town again. But don't email unless you've got the S2000. j/k

P.S. Thanks for the tip on the tires.

I agree with Shing.

Khumo 712s are very good for the buck

Checkout www.tirerack.com and you will find out why.

should be, cause there was one where they said it would be. when you get there just ask. I asked them "you guys have a Hunter GSP9700 here?" said yes, and I said let's do it!
