I only got a room for Friday night at the Courtyard Marriott I think. Good thing you asked Chris because I don't remember where I made the reservation. I'll be parking with the New Image Motorsports. We should have a Banner and a DJ in our section.

My local Tweeter store. I have a friend that works there so I got a pretty good discount.

It's a good place for not so important gauges. I have oil pressure, water temp and voltage there. I want to move some of my gauges to the steering column, but that would take some custom fiberglass work. I'll see how bored I get later in the summer.

I bought hood pins but I don't know if I want to install them now. The latch on my hood looks pretty sturdy. I got the Morso hood pins from Summit racing. My freaking hood got stuck last night and it took me 4 hours to figure out what was wrong with it. I had to stick an entension inbetween my Trenz grill to remove my latch. It turns out the secondary latch got caught on the fiberglass frame of the hood.
This is the part that the secondary latch was hooking on instead of the metal latch. I dremeled away the excess material.

County poperty tax sticker and VA inspection sticker. I think Virginia is the only freaking state that you have to pay a personal poperty (car) tax. I remember back in 1999 I had to pay $900 and that's with the 50% reduction because of the new tax relief act.

We have to pay tax every year. They tax on the value of the car.

I realize at shows most of the judges won't even notice mods like that. I'm not going to waste my energy/money on mods that aren't going to be obvious to a non-maxima owner.

It's not the latch that's on the hood itself that is the problem. It's the factory latch that is the issue. You can latch your hood and pull up on it all day it will seem like it is sturdy as all hell, but then one day, doing 55mph entering a highway the fukcing thing flips up and cracks in half along with the windshield.
Take it from someone whose gone through some carbon fiber hoods and windshields. Fiberimages has had 3 different types of latches on their hoods and 3 different times my hood flipped up on me. The third time you don't even pee your pants anymore, you just lean your head out the window and keep driving.
T.V. looks great, that's taking the money away from boost though!

Kind of funny but last weekend I ran Shadow's car w/ your old hood w/o hood pins for one run at the track. I had opened it to pass tech inspection but there wasn't a line at all so I almost immediately went to stage and forgot about them. Ran a 13.9@104 and parked it to cool down before I realized it. Of course we double check the pins every time drive the damned thing now. Jeff was less than happy to see that.
One of the Batlground Supras forgot their hoodpins the week before on a Top Secret Carbon hood and it flipped open at about 100mph. Hit hard enough to crease the T-tops. $1800 buys an amazing hood though...the thing is still in pretty good shape except for some minor cracks.
