I'm just wondering how many people opted for the 8600K HID kit instead of the more popular BLUE 8000K HID kit that Freddie sells.

I opted for the 8600K HID kit which had a whiter output because I felt the 8000K HID was too blue and too obvious, so I didn't want to risk getting pulled over. Not many HID-retrofitted cars in MI.

I got the 8600K HID kit and it said "Sky Blue" on it. Anyway, I've noticed that it starts out Sky Blue and after a minute or so, it warms up to white. Completely white! (I did this in the daytime, so I could actually compare the color to that of the sky)

I compared the color of the 8600K HID kit to the 2004 Maxima and boy oh boy, the 8600K HID kit puts out the whitest light I have seen.

For those who have the 8600K HID kit, how do you feel about the final color output once it warms up? I personally would have preferred a little bit of color but I'm happy nevertheless!!!

Wow..

Crazy you say that. Today i was just thinking the samething and actually compared to the amount of color to when they are first turned on to that after a fair amount of time. You are absolutely right. It starts out a cool blue but eventually turns pure white. I mean the white if amazingly bright, but as do you, i was looking for a bit more color. I am happy regardless, but i wish Freddie had the correct 9004 8000k when i met up with him. I think i would have went with that. Other than that the HID is still awesome.

i have been getting alot of e-mails on the Z-MAX (hanabi) 86k kit. everyone that saw them loved the bright white light with hint of blue.

keep in mind that the 8k has more blue but at the same time the 86k is brighter because it's almost all white.

we just got a big order in and i'm try to get the group deal price extended for 1 more week. i will get the info soon (i hope).

this order was placed 1 week before Aug 15. and i have not sold hids here for over 2 weeks now and everyone else didn't stop selling.

so for those that want the 86k Z-MAX hids give me a call 201-993-3633

when the last order came in we were sold out in less than 2 weeks, please don't wait until the last mins.

yeah

Yeah, i mean regardless of the color i still love the kit. I think i am just getting used to it as well because all of my friends think its so damn bright and do see a bit of blue in them. I let my friend drive my car up a hill so that i could see the HIDs and i was shocked. As the car made its way up the hill (before i could even see the car), the sky lit up with a light blue. It looked as if there was a nuclear explosion. Finally the car came up the hill and I was immediately blinded by the bright white. All of you people who want some bright HIDs, jump on this quick!

finally! i adjusted my headlights.
i decided to go with the 8000k kit over 8600. I believed that the hint of blue in the 8000k would go nicely w/the color of my car. They are MAD BRIGHT and i have to say they are the best. My friend just got the Philips 6000k kit and after helping him align his headlights down, i believed i had the better looking of the two.

Now that i adjusted my headlights downwards, i wont have the guilt of blinding everyone nearby (nor will i have to worry too much about the cops). =o)

freddie, i dont know if you remember, but my buddy came down w/me to install my HIDS 2 days before aug. 15th. He wants to order the 8000k kit for 9006. Just a heads up. I will give u a call to confirm the order...
