just finished installing a water temp gauge today, after installing air fuel ratio and volt gauges 2 months prior no problems...let the car warm up for a few mins and then it cut off on its own...took a few seconds for the engine to turn over but it did but now car bogs down when i try to go past 2k rpms....any ideas???

Blown MAF?

Sounds like a blown MAF to me.

will it go past 2200 rpms at all. If it feels like your hitting a rev limiter at 2000-2200 its a blown MAF.

i disconnected the water temp gauge from the temp sensor under the hood now problem gone..?? i dont know if i hooked it up correctly?

Sounds like you shorted out the power to the MAF, check your wiring.

i spliced the water temp sender wire rather than the water temp sensor wire, problem solved.
