Some weeks ago I began a lucky I30 Infinity '98 user / owner.

First of all I'd like to add audio CD / tuner remote control equipment which may be fitted on steering wheel. Is there some optional / standard equipment or some special? In case of standard / optional please advise the place were can I order this and some instalation guidance.

2. Would you suggest something else I can do with my car?

I would very appreciate your assistance due to absence of any information concerning this car in Russia.

Of course, thanks for your advice, but, sorry, I do not precisely understand what is danger for me or for my car if somebody knows the VIN?

Privet myzhik! Kak y vas s zapasnimi chastyami?

Get yourself some nice aftermarket stereo with remote control, do not invest in the optional factory system. There are mods available to make your car faster, depending how fast you want to go, and how much money you have to spend. Not sure if any such mods are made in Russia, so you may have to buy those parts from the U.S.-based merchants. Keep in mind that you can't pay with cash sent in the envelope, and the applicable customs charges..will make modding your car very expensive.

Theres at least two good Russian sites with forums for the '95+ Nissan Cefiro, basically the same car as '96+ Infiniti I30's.

Sorry, don't have the links available but they're easy to find on search engines using 'Cefiro discussion'.

Zdorovo!
I do not think would be great and cheaper to install a new audio system... the existing Bose is quite good for my demands...
As for the the spareparts and other they mostly the same with Maximas.. As for the theme of supplying some parts (moslty for motorcycle market) there can be something....

Hi,
Generally here is a small quantity of such cars... As for my car I was in search around 1,5 mounths... no one Infinini.. only European Maximas.... So, luckely I have bought my Infiniti I30, '98, silver with black leather interior, as I think full options, and 85000 km at 15000 USD.
Is any competitive proposals available at your side? Please not that around 1000 USD is transportation, 4700 USD is customs clearance at the moment, and around 500-800 USD to the broker / driver to keep the car in Finland and make a clearance.... So what you'll say?

Re: Re: Re: Zdorova bratan!

ok bro,

i am not aware of any standard Nissan/Infiniti CD players with steering wheel controls. At least in the U.S.

You will have to get something aftermarket.

I don't know about any aftermarket CD players with steering wheel controls either. But most of them have a hand held remote, like you use on your TV.
You can attach it to your steering wheel if you want

check sites like
www.crutchfield.com

or just search online for "Car stereo" or something like that and see what they got.

As for other things you can do to your car.
it depends on how much you want to spend

for one, you can try a "Front Strut bar"
www.ebay.com

look around www.custommaxima.com or www.southwestautoworks.com for more ideas.

Odyssey, I happen to have the exact same car as you, color and all. Most of the mods I'm doing are exterior and primarily for looks (I guess struts/springs could be considered performance but that wasn't my intention when i put them on).

As much as I love my Infiniti I can't stand the ride height. So a fairly cheap mod would be upgraded springs (struts would be nice too but not a necessity). You can probaly get Maxspeed springs shipped for about 150ish which will lower your car about an inch and a half and generally keep your ride quality exactly the same.

Tint. Tint is probably the easiest/cheapest mod you can do to improve the looks on your car. Limo tint looks especially good on a silver vehicle and luckily that's exactly what you have.

Wheels. 18's. All about the 18's. A nice set of Chrome or polished (silver doesn't look good on infiniti's..need somethig a bit shinier to match the 'refined' look).

There's also a possibility of us I30 owners getting a hold of the A32 trunk lip though a contact in Japan. sweet, low profile spoiler. Check out the inifiniti board here for pics of it.

I dunno...with those mods your car will look 1000 times more slick. I don't plan on touching my stock bose system either but I will add a LCD TV into the passenger side visor and a PS2 to entertain my guests.

I can post some pics of my car so you can see how it looks, especially since your car will look exactly the same. I was gonna wait till I got my wheels put on but if you want to see before, lemme know.
