Updates from Frankencar, READ

Ok just so you guys know i haven't been sitting on my duff here's all the latest stuff i've worked out.

1. Soon the rubber couplers will be gone and we will have a new material called SantoPrene(sp) it's the oem level coupler material and it even more durable then silicone and won't crack like some silicone's will. i'm having them made as we speak my distributor just called me to give me the update.

2. I'm having my parts store order some of the T-Bolt style hose clamps next week, the ones with the bolt in them that pulls metal straps together, thicker and wider and stronger then the regular worm drive ones(even the extra wide ones i was using now)

3. The 4th gen bent polished midpipes with a beaded lip will be here in a few weeks.. i'm getting one for fitment next week and all i say is GO and they willbe here 14-21 days after that.

4. not that you guys care much but the sentra SE-R intakes and the 4cyl Altima intakes and Pathfinder intakes are almost done

5. THE BAD UPDATE, APEXI Fitlers, i stil can't get them, the Apexi Warehouse here is cleaned out and as you all know the docks in Cali aren't being co-operative. I've called my distributor many times and looked around and they are pretty much dried up till apexi gets a big container in(they tell me maybe tomorrow) so i'm trying to get them for you guys that are waiting for them and as soon as i get them i'll be shipping them out.

6. I finally got the hold up resolved on the exhaust and i will have one here very very soon, finally. i can't wait to take pics and get some sound clips of it.

7. Motor Mounts are confirmed for 2002 6-spd's only so far. i'm trying the front and rear on my friend's 2k next week and i think they will fit too. after that i want to try an auto 2002 at least the front and rear mounts those are most important. i will be selling just the front and rear mounts filled with 80A shore poly for 100 bucks plus shipping and return of your core parts, these make a HUGE difference.

8. CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP: I know some of you have heard but me and Mattsy came to a mutual agreement for a buy out, it was tough he lived 30 minutes away and he couldn't stay out late. My friend Scott S Daigle, stepped up and we are moving as fast as we can on everything. His computer is gettnig hooked up saturday and i'm sure all you guys will see him here, his cell number is 413-219-6922 and email will be scott@frankencar.com

9. Yes i am still working in the STS project my friend nick is gonna help me out his trig is slightly better then mine and his dad runs one of the area's best machine shops and he will be making the part. it's still coming folks.

10. Y-pipe should be ready by spring time for 2002 maxima.

Any idea how many weeks I need to wait for a 4th gen midpipe? I already ordered one but should I just change that to a bent pipe and how is that better?

Steve, can you make a metal bracket like you did for the 5th gens that will keep the filter away from rubbing on the battery and hitting the car when ever you hit a bump?

Re: Updates from Frankencar, READ

Will the SantoPrene couplers be backwards compatible for existing owners? If so how much will you charge for the two?

What is the best way to remove the old ones? Cut them off?
