Tightening AC belt to rid squeeling

Hello,
Dam squeeling is stressing me out...

Can I tighten the belt from the engine bay or do I need to lift
the car??

can be done from above. I think the tensioner is like a 14mm, but I forget.

The acc. belts can be adjusted from top and bottom. Usually whenthe belt squeeks, it is time to replace it.

Yep its 14mm. Turn clockwise to tighten, counterclockwise to loosen.

Generally new belts tend to loosen up in the first week or so; this is absolutely normal.

If it's the ac/alternator belt and it's like my 2K2 then you have to loosen the center nut on the tensioner pulley and then turn the 14mm adjuster bolt clockwise to tighten the belt. Don't over do it.
