SVT Abused by Dealer

Don't know if this belongs here, and I searched for everything I could think of to find a post if it was already posted.

In any case, there is an SVT Owner over here:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...threadid=19809

...got the short end of the stick. The support from other car enthusiasts is amazing and I was surprised it hadn't made it here yet.

It ****ed me off so I thought I would share.

What sucks is, I was so absorbed in it, that I read the whole post on both pages. I was even looking out for "...from Maxima.org..." while I was reading.

I kind of wanted to laugh at the guy for being an idiot, but at the same time, I wanted to commit some form of physical violence on him.

that kinda stuff makes me so mad. im always scared when i drop my car off at the nissan dealership because as i drive up i can see all the young mechanics staring at it and i know they just want to mess around with it. Thats why i stay away from the dealership unless its warranty work that needs to be done. This is the exact reason why i always try to get my work done at one of my dads friends shops where they let me watch and help. grrrr...that ford dealership mechanic doesnt even care, he thinks its great what he did. that just makes me mad..

The database is overloaded. Does anyone have it saved in cache and can share? I can't read the story.

Reminded me of a similiar incident. About a year and a half ago a Chevy tech took a Corvette ZO6 for a spin. He hit a mailbox, lost control, and crashed it right in front of my dad's workplace. The guy was dead a week later.

this is the reason i ride with the techs when they service my car.... or have them ride with me as most are incompetint and cant replicate most problems that only the owner can.

Here is the original post by a former Ford Tech named "Stangman96."
It Was Waaaaaaaaaay Cool
MAN IT WAS WAY COOL, DROVE A '03 COBRA VERT TODAY THAT WAS IN THE SHOP, ME AND ANOTHER TECH TOOK IT OUT AND DROVE IT, DROVE HER HARD, 6 SPEED TRANNY, WE HIT 140 MPH REAL QUICK, TALK ABOUT POWER. NOT THAT WE DO IT HERE ALL THE TIME, BUT I JUST HAD TO RUN IT, IT WAS CALLING MY NAME... THE POWER IT HAS IN UNREAL, YOU JUST NEED TO GET OUT AND TEST DRIVE ONE TODAY, BY THE WAY, THE CUSTOMER'S COMPLAINT WAS LACK OF POWER AND POOR GAS MILEAGE, WHAT A CROCK... NEEDLESS TO SAY, IT IS OWNED BY A FEMALE, SHE EVEN SAID IT WAS DYNOED AT A SHOP AND THEY TOLD HER THAT THE CONVERTORS WERE TOO HOT AND THE FUEL TRIM WAS WAY OFF. I HOOKED IT UP TO THE COMPUTER, FUEL TRIM WAS NORMAL, CAT TEMP WAS OK, NO CODES, AND IT RAN GREAT. GO FIGURE.. OH YEAH, SHE EVEN TOLD THE SERVICE WRITER TO MAKE SURE THAT NO "PUNK" DRIVES HER CAR, WELL SINCE I AM THE MUSTANG SPECIALIST HERE AT THE DEALER, I GUESS I AM "THE PUNK", ALL THE MORE TO DRIVE HER '03 COBRA VERT AND SEE WHAT ITS GOT.. HEHE HOPE SHE DIDNT HAVE A HIDDEN CAMERA IN THAT CAR...... GET THIS, HER PLATES SAY "VNMS 03"
