4th/5th gen Plug and Play LED Kits!
Instead of creating a thread for the 4th and another one for the 5th genners, I'll just do one, that covers both gens. Here goes:
Now available, for all 4th and 5th generation Maximas, is a FULL Plug and Play LED Kit. This kit will replace your old, cruddy, dim incandescent lighting with new, super bright, clean looking LEDs.
I test these for proper operation before shipping them out to you, so no worries! I have done all the work for you, so you don't have to worry about what kind of LEDs to get, you don't have to worry about waiting 3 weeks for shipping, you don't have to worry about them not working, you don't have to worry about color-matching with the others...the only thing you have to worry about is remembering to not turn the map or dome lights on while driving!
I have a source in Hong Kong, where all these things come from anyhow...that provides the best quality LED panels. The LEDs I use in these panels are the "5050" type. 5050 LEDs are triple the brightness of regular SMD (surface mount diode) LEDs so there is more light output than the other LEDs available.
The entire kit includes:
- (2) 9SMD LED panels for the map lights (one 12 SMD panel if you only have one map light)
- (2) 12SMD LED panels for the door courtesy lights
- (1) 24SMD LED panel for the dome light,
- (2) 1W High Power LEDs for the License Plate light
- (1) 1W High Power LED for inside the trunk.
These LEDs are a "COOL WHITE" color, super bright and super white. Of course, the kit includes all the adapters you'll need to make these fit, just plug and play. They feature double sided foam tape on the back, so you simply peel the backing away, and stick 'em where you want 'em. The only way it can get easier is if I install 'em for you...but for most of you that's not practical to drive up to Seattle
(the entire kit)
(24 SMD Dome light)
(2 9SMD map lights [or one 12SMD if you only have one map light])
(2 12SMD door courtesy lights) These are WHITE, but I also have BLUE available, same price
(2 1W LEDs for License Plate, 1 1W LED for the trunk)

I am selling the complete kits for just $75.00 Shipped anywhere in the USA. If you don't want or need the trunk and license plate LEDs, I am selling the PARTIAL kits for only $60.00 Shipped. I am located and ship from Seattle, so once I get cleared payment, you will have the kit in your hands usually within 2-4 business days (USPS).
I accept PayPal, of course. If you would like one of these kits, just PM me and I'll let you know if I've got one available for immediate shipping. My PayPal address is Mpunkt1983@hotmail.com

HOW TO INSTALL THE LEDS IN PLACE OF YOUR CURRENT INCANDESCENT LIGHTING:
(This is one of the easiest mods to do in your car. From start to finish, figure about 15 minutes for all of them. I did not take tons of pictures of the current bulbs, since we all know where they are )
These pictures were done on a 2002 Maxima, your 4th or 5th gen will be incredibly similar to this. Remember, though...LEDs are polarized. So if you plug 'em in and it doesn't work...simply unplug the BLACK connector in the middle and plug it in the other way.
Door (before):
After (Damn that's bright!)
Door comparison:
Dome light before:
After:
Map lights:
And turned on (with regular map bulb for comparison):
Trunk light before:

Now you can actually SEE what's in the trunk! Who knew?
And finally..the License Plate lights done:

+1 for Amerikaner83. This is my car in the pics (excuse the beat up trunk lid), and I can tell you I am very happy with the end result of this kit. A big bump and recommendation for Amerikaner83.

I currently have 4 complete kits remaining and ready to ship right now...will have more after Thanksgiving!
Also, if you want partial kits (Everything except the trunk and license plate LEDs), I have about 10 or so of those available as well.

Thanks, Shin! I appreciate it I know you sell pre-done LED stuff with the radios and what-not...didn't want to be stepping on your toes But I figured since Alex wasn't selling the kits anymore on the org, an opportunity presented itself, and I had already thought of doing this anyhow so...I pulled the trigger

I have never done pre made kits before so I could not claim you stepped on my toes even if I had the right to. (Which I don't) I ain't hatin' and I hope the org embraces your kit as they look great and are reasonably priced.

The pics posted above are for the WHITE ones. The blue is a brilliant deep blue, and only for the doors. I can put up a pic of the blues installed in my door when I get home from work today if you'd like

Those look awesome! Is it possible though that if I wanted to, I could switch the LEDs out later on? (I was thinking Purple...) I know a little bit about solderin and such, and if you're already selling the harnesses and all that stuff that's needed, then theoretically all I'd have to do is find those flat LEDs in Purple and resolder them and I'd be set... right?

thanks Purple, eh?
yes, that's correct, theoretically...if you wanted to do that, you could. Just make sure you've got the proper polarity. Although I would recommend when you want to do the switchover to just find some ones with purple already installed. Will probably run about 20 bucks or so for the doors on ebay, but they'll be premade already, saving you the hassle

Darn. I'm not really a fan of the bluish tint those LEDs have, and much prefer the warmer color from an incandescent bulb. Do they make any LEDs in that shade? I basically want their brightness without the color.
#25
I could possibly come up with a small run of warm white...let me dig around a little and then I'll PM you, ok?
#26
I'm just curious, what are your thoughts on these for the reverse lights?

"Silly me, I assumed 7W meant 7 Watts. These only draw about 1.5 Watts each."

You're welcome, Chrstian. Glad you like 'em
For anyone curious about how the doors look with the BLUE 12SMD, take a gander at this:
Crappy cell phone cam but you can still see the brightness and color hue of the blue...

I found some potentials with the warm white for the trunk and license plate...but they're way more expensive than the cool white ones...the total for the warm white ones would be $100.00 shipped for warm white doors, warm white dome (20 or 36SMD instead of the current 24), warm white map lights, and warm white (or natural white) trunk / License plate lights...
it'll take a few weeks to get them in, but would you guys pay 100 for the warm white kit?

I don't think I personally would need LED plate lights, and I would be fine with the normal blue-white for the trunk light, since it's rarely seen or used. How much would it be for just the interior lights in warm white and normal white for the trunk?

Got part of the warm white kits in (map lights)...take a look:
And now, a comparison of color:
LEFT is stock incandescent while RIGHT is the warm white 9SMD LED panel.
In person it's a little more yellow (as the incandescent). It's a little bit whiter than the incandescent, but no trace of blue, like in the cool white.
