yeah you just need to get the chip out of the key, see my first post...

the process on doing that is the question, the FOB I'm selling has a compartment for the chip once it's removed from the original key.

I noticed on my fifth generation key you can actually see a little trap door on the bottom of the key right next to where the metal starts. I can pry mine open with a minny screwdriver.

Hello everyone, sorry but I had a incident and wasn't able to send them out until yesterday, anyone in the US should get them by the end of this week...my CA (Canada) neighbor's I wasn't given a time frame but I will confirm with a friend that works at the post office

A timeframe to Canada would be great, as it's already been over 4 weeks since payment. I don't mean to sound like an Id*ot, but I'd like to get my key cut soon......

not at all man, they were all sent out at the same time just hit a snag and was delayed, please post as soon as you get them, I would say this week and next for the my Canada friends up north

ah, sorry. got mine yesterday. looks good. it looks like the Nissan logo is covering up two stickers. may somehow make my stock remote fit in there with lock/unlock buttons? not sure about the fit; just a quick thought. I'll check it closer this weekend when i get it cut.

it would be nice if this key also had the fucntions to unlock/ lock the doors.

do you think that you could maybe get a buy going for one that does have that function built into it?

they don't work that way. I don't think the new keys will program to your unit. At least thats what I always read.

UPDATE

ok so I finally got a call back, there has been a slight price change, $35 Shipped for US and $40 Shipped for CAN

You'll have your choice of "NISSAN" or "MAXIMA" on the key right next to the nissan logo

This is what the "MAXIMA" key looks like:

no they won't lock or unlock, as there are no actual buttons on the switchblade key. As for those with transponders, you'll have to actually take out the chip and store it in this one
