i know it cost more, but it weighs a lot less. i was not aware of the density though...

"First is its weight. Trupan Light is only 80% of the overall weight of regular MDF. This will yield a much lighter enclosure overall Even though Trupan is lighter, it still remains as “acoustically dead” as regular MDF.
Trupan is also a much better choice of material to use from the builders standpoint. It cuts much smoother, routes easier, and holds screws much better than MDF. Not only that, but Trupan is much easier on the shop equipment.
However, on average, Trupan cost is nearly double that of MDF."

I'll swing by the lumberyard to check it out. I'm concerned about density and flexion, as these boards have to be strong enough to hold up sub boxes, etc.

On that note, would anyone be interested in purchasing a board made out of Trupan?
Would an 80% weight savings be worth..say..an extra $10 per board?

It's a dealer part but if I recall correctly, it's no longer available.

Sorry, this is meant to work with donut-sized spare tires only. In fact, having a full size spare completely kills the entire notion of what this board does and what it's made for.

Shipped to canada is an extra $8. Let me know if you want one despite the full size spare question.
