Dremel, drill series of holes, Use stone/sanding wheel attachment to even it out.

i suggest a stepped drill bit avalible for cheap at harbor frieght and drill one hole for each wire then add rubber grommets from Mcmaster.com or sears hardware. i suggest painting the fresh metal after with krylon or something similar befor putting the grommets on.

I ran my 0 ga. through the fender alongside the cable release for the hood (4th gen) No drilling required.

+1. Did this for my 4 ga. on my 5.5gen. No additional holes, but it was a pain to run through.

+1 on the unibit.

This thread might have been more relevant in the audio section.

Yeah i used the same grommet for the hood release, just sliced into the grommet a bit and patched it up with some silicone after.

Id reccommend against drilling into the firewall if possible, but if you do, make sure you paint it with some POR15 or rust inhibitor or it'll rust like a 80s circa ford.
