today i changed my atf and had some spilled onto my hands. i used regular soap to tried to get it off. it didn't work so well. still had the slippery feel and the smell was still there as well. are there any automotive hand cleaners that can completely clean my hands? i mean i don't want any traces of i just work on my car. i don't want any feel, grease, or smell still there.

I started using this. It works better than any soap i've ever used after working on my car. The particals scrubs the dirt and oil right off your hands and all you have to do is rinse. People used to tell me about how good it was and I never believed them until I tried it.

I've used the GO JO orange before and it works fine but I also use the Permatex in the blue/white containers at Autozone...been using it for years and it takes off pretty much everything including oil based paints,etc...has lanolin or something for the skin in it too but it's slick, not as abrasive/gritty as the Orange so it may not work as fast....
I've used both and both work well. I think the GoJo has little bits of pumice in it also to help clean more. The dispenser also has a blue brush integrated on the side of it that works well to clean under the fingernails.

Nice and thick, extremely durable. Only latex gloves I've ever had that lasted more than 15 minutes when working on a car. Cheap enough, too...SnapOn truck has them for ~$12 for a 50-pack box.

GOJO and all the other suggestions will work the biggest thing to remember when you use those is not to rinse them off with water in fact don't use water at all. They work way better if you lather then wipe your hands off with a towel. As soon as you add the water the oil will displace from the cleaner and your hands won't come as clean.
we had this stuff at my old work, puts gojo and fast orange to shame, it was made by ZEP, called shell shock, it had walnut shell abrasive in it, took wheel bearing grease right off, and thats prob the hardest stuff to get off
