Which tool set?

I'm looking to pick up a tool set for 500 or less. I've got one of these 3 Craftsman sets in mind but I'm not sure which one to purchase, especially since the website doesnt provide a complete list of whats in each set.

The cheapest set. Looks like it comes with a good assortment of wrenches, sockets, allen wrench, some adaptors and a few screw drivers. The lower price tag would help me attain a good 3/8s torque wrench faster (snap on and the like.)

More of everything. More sockets, more nut drivers, a hammer, more wrenches, etc. 500 dollars.

Less components, but a number of tools that will come in handy during welding, engine work or work in tight spots.

I know I wont have use for all the tools in any of these kits right now, but I fully expect these tools to last for many years (with the exception of the ratchets maybe) so keep that in mind. Thanks guys.

I would recommend the second one, but get better ratchets(Snap On/ Craftsman Pro, Macto, , ect and get breaker bars.

I was also leaning towards the second.

I'm considering getting a Snap-on 3/8" Techwrench Flex ratched torque wrench. I like it because its got a wide range. I can torque everything from about 20ft-lbs to 100ft-lbs with good accuracy with one tool. That torque range should suffice for most bolts I'll encounter on the max. What do you guys think?

Two down sides though:
It's very expensive
Its electronic.

I'm worried it wont last as long as a fully mechanical. The only reason I'm considering it is because I can't find similar quality torque wrenches with the same range. I'd have to get two and I still wouldn't be able to torque anything higher than 100ft-lbs.
