Rear wheel drive vs. Front wheel drive, which is better for maintenae?

When I went to the mechanic today, I seen a 240sx, while I was checking out this car I noticed it was rear wheel drive, also noticed it had alot of stuff lined up and it looked much easier to work on from a mechanic's point of view.

The oil filter was right on the top of the engine, the pumps and more was right there. Is there any benefit to rear wheel drive cars over front wheel drive?

It depends on the car and/or the engine setup. The KA is a smaller motor than the VQ, makes it easier to access things. Put a VQ in the 240, and it's a different story, a lot more cramped. I4, I6, V6, V8, all has an affect on how much room you have, not to mention the size of the engine bay. Go check out a 90's on 300zx for a good example.

I personally like the RWD platform....I find it easier to work on for the most part. One of the easiest FWDs to work on are the 4-cyl accords....Just my opinion..
