Snap-On CT4850HO or Ingersoll-Rand W360

I've read up on the cordless impact thread, but am still torn between these two guns.

The IR will cost about $10-$30 less, weighs about 2lbs less, has lithium-ion batteries and is slightly smaller than the Snap-On.

Judging by 96sleepers tq. testing, both the guns put out about the same in reverse.

I might have the chance to get the Snap-On for $480 off a truck and the IR for $470 shipped w/2 batteries as well.

Here's a video of both of them in action together... not sure how accurate it is, but ya. Click on "see it in action" and then the "showdown"

The duties would mainly consist of exhaust, suspension and brake work, so those could be the most stubborn bolts.

Is the thing considerably heavy though?

How long do the batteries last?

Does the tq. remain consistent throughout the battery life, no matter if it's full or half?

Rusty bolts and so on=cake?

Where'd you get it and how much did you pay?

Hell, I have a 3850 (the predecessor to the 4850) and it ALWAYS takes off whatever I want it to. And you know how much suspension/chassis work I do on this car, my Jeep, and my triumph....Battery life is great (I have 2) and even though it's old and been beat to hell, it still works awesome.

It's a bit heavy, but who cares. I only have to hold it for about 2 seconds before even the toughest bolts come off

Ingersoll Rand makes great stuff. I can't speak for that particular impact, but can say that SnapOn cordless impacts are pretty much bulletproof.

True on the weight part.

I definitely plan on keeping this thing for years to come, so endurance would be a big +...NOW, I want to see if I can get a better price through vendors...

I just want a gun so that I can finally work on my suspension/exhaust without breaking/bending/cracking my bolts/wrenches/knuckles/nails
_____

irish-do you have any air-tools? I ask because of the obvious projects that you have and I would figure you would have a good air-gun in your possession, no?
