Castrol Synthetic or Castrol Edge Synthetic??

Ight I have a Question for the orgers.

which is better:
Castrol Synthetic?? changed every 5K
Castrol Edge?? Now they claim 15K on this one.. im @8k now...

I run 5w30 I just switched from the Synthetic to the Edge. both are synthetics

How long would you run the EGDE 15K?? or what and is anyone else in my same boat??

No clue but I personally would never run past 7.5k without a Used Oil Analysis (UOA) in place to tell me what is happening.

I don't have any experience with those oils. But I know something for a fact.

First, I see synthetic oil manufacturers are trying to produce oils that willl have longer OCI. So, if they claim 15k oil change for the edge, simply means it might better additive to withstand the longer OCI. In fact, they might just be calling it edge because it does have an EDGE over the other.

Its up to you if you want to go the full 15k. Personally, I run M1 EP 15k and choose to run it for 7500miles. I am at about 1300 already.
