HP and mileage claims are really irrelevant when evaluating oil. Any HP gains are easily within dyno margin of error. If you did nothing but a rain dance around your car 2 different times you would still see a power gain or not because there is always variation in dyno runs.
Minimal mileage gains are definately possible, but not 10%, thats wishful thinking. I have a whole dissertation of oil analysis' I'd like to post up, but my account isnt cleared to post yet, lol

thanks for the input i dont expect a world of difference, i just want to protect my investment and let it run as good and safe as it can. something else i thought about is that the car has 63,000 miles and i 've read stories about leaky gaskets after swithching to synthetic however my runs great and of course leaks no oil so im wondering if it would be safe to switch to synthetic and also which brand?
thanks

A properly formulated synthetic oil will not cause gaskets to leak. If the engine has been properly maintained and is in sound mechanical condition, you will have no problems switching to a reputable synthetic oil.

/\/\ Werd, the only reason now a days that a synthetic would "cause seals to leak" would be from sludge built up on those seals plugging them, and when the synthetic hits them it disolves those deposits.
So a seal being plugged by sludge would now leak. But you wont have anymore sludge in your engine. I got a 165,000 mile brand new looking G20 head to prove it! I use Eneos 5w40

I didnt have any problems with synthetic. But when i switched over to sythetic, I never really use aut rx in my engine as some people say u should use it to clean your engine b4 u put in synthetic. So i was like oh wut the hell lemme jus put a bottle of auto rx into my engine, and its better to run it with dino. If you dont kno wut auto rx is, go to the site www.auto-rx.com. It will tell u all info on it
