1997 maxima 5sp manual transmission drain plug stuck

Is there any way to get a socket around this bolt? Nobody in town sells 12mm 6 point wrenches anymore, I tried with a 12point wrench and stripped it just a little bit. What is that metal bracket thing that is right in front of the drain bolt is there any way to remove that?

Thanks
-Nick

Just pop out the black switch (Neutral/ Reverse switch) that is located along the bottom and all the fluid will come out almost instantly. No need to undo that stuck bolt.
