Ive heard great things about there products but never knew if anyone has used them here or not. My tranny has been shifting hard at times and sometimes seems to slip during gear changes so I got some of there transmission fix for about $10 bucks. This stuff is really thick but says that it will not void new car warranties and so on. I put in half a bottle today and my car seems to be shifting nicely. Im gonna put the rest in later.
Has anyone else tried this stuff??

like heroin for your car - will fix minor problems but you have to keep using it. Used car dealers love lucas products.
Their tranny fix its not a perm term fix - its swells the seals inside the tranny, captures contaminants, etc. - tends to fix hard shifts and make dying autos shift properly again (at least for a year or two, maybe three - then BOOM!) Put the rest in there and give it 2 weeks. Do not use their auto tranny fix if the car is under warrenty.
Their heavy oil stab. works wonders in old cars that are burning oil or have engine leaks and are losing compression,etc. I can also help remedy intermetant oil pressure problems on older cars. Its kind of like an engine oil glue. makes the motor run noticably quieter, smoother, etc - at least for awhile, but you have to keep using it. Again NOT for new cars, even if it does not void warrenties.
I would not use any of their fix products or oil stabalizer in a newer car - only old POS that are starting to break down/die/etc
Money well spent if your selling a car - use the auto tranny fix 2 weeks before, and the heavy oil stab a day or two before with an oil change - makes old clunkers look good, at least for sale purposes...

Well u must understand I don't know if my trans. fluid has ever been changed at all. I bought my car with 140k and it now has almost 203k and I have never changed the fluid. Im never selling this car so I figure that this stuff can't hurt anything.
My car is not a POS I take very good care of my engine also. Does not burn a drop of oil nor leak. Just figured I could use this to "revive" my old trans. fluid.

I see your point on that believe me, I'm just not up to changing the fluid. Plus my luck I'll change it and the tranny will go out on me lol...

Mess, I just used the heavy duty oil stabilizer on my last oil change - 1 litre and the rest oil, and I will admit I noticed some very strange behavior right after.
Do you have any idea how I can get that crap OUT of the car? I was reading an article by some BOBOILGUY and it shows how sticky the stuff is. What about seafoam in the crankcase before I drain it?
once you drain it, the vast majority of it should go - i do not think that you need to use seafoam.
good thinking with the old tranny - probably best you do not to change the fluid, else it may go boom.
lucas is good stuff for OLD cars with dying transmissions, engines that have compression problems, etc. not for use with newer cars or anything you plan on driving for a while (again, unless is its dying and you want to drive it into the ground)
Sounds like it's plain time to change that tranny fluid. Mine felt like it was skipping a few beats so I did 3 drain and fills over the course of a month because I didn't really know its history either. Figured I'd go slow and easy with the fluid exchange. Seemed to work cause I've never felt my tranny shift as good. I plan on dropping the pan for my 4th and final drain and fill till I feel confident to put all new Amosoil Syn in it when the time comes.
Oh, and I tried the Lucas fuel injection stuff and wasn't very impressed. My car didn't seem to like it. I went to BG44K and a huge improvement. I know it's not the tranny stuff but I'm just sayin.
That's interesting about the lucas. I had a very small frt seal leak on my van's trans and a tranny tech told me to just put in the lucas trtmnt and it should stop it. He wasnt hip on aftermarket gunk, but said it may help the leak rather than the big $$ to fix the leak. I was hesitant, even though the van is old. I had to change the fluid anyway, and since Chrysler no longer sells the traditional fluid I had to go synthetic. I did the change myself and put in the syn along w/ AutoRx and followed the guidelines and the leak has stopped. Actually, it stopped rather quickly. Dont know which one helped it, but at least since last fall I have had much success.
