Idea for tranny flush...Will it work?

I know the procedure to flush your own tranny...Here's my question. Would it work to have a hose hooked up to the feed line for the radiator that dumps into a bucket, and then have the return line sunk in a bucket of fresh fluid? As the old fluid is pumped out the feed line would the return line suck up the fresh fluid? I was just wondering if it would work since it would save time from the typical return line procedure flush.

I don't think so since the AT gearbox is not air-leak-free.

if you want to save time, you may want to drain & fill. repeat after a week of driving.

You may dump the return line in a bucket, flush half a gallon, then refill with fresh fluid using the dip stick tube, repeat untill the flushed fluid comes out clear. I did this many times. Ask for a helper to switch off the engine while check the can being filled with flushed ATF.
