How many quarts for the 6th gen?

I know, stupid question, but I have always paid to change my oil.
Now I'm switching to Mobil 1 since I'm over 55K miles and don't know how many quarts to fill up my engine with.
Also, would 10w/30 be OK or would you give another suggestion? I live in South Florida which is warm and humid almost throughout the year. Maybe 2 weeks with real cold air from the north which doesn't do much at all to the engine I believe.

The owners manual details oil pan capacity w/wo a filter change. It should be in the last couple of pages of the manual -- I hope I knew the quantity but then I have a 5th gen and it take 4.25 with filter change.

I always put in about 4.75 quarts and check it the next day to see where it's at, then go from there. I use 10w30 Mobil1 synthetic all year round, and never had a problem with it. Although, with 46xxx miles, it seems to eat a little oil between changes, so I hope that's not too big of a deal lol

Yes, this seems to be the right amount, 4.75 qts. I switched that day I did the post to Quaker State synthetic, just slightly cheaper than Mobil1, very good quality though.

I've found that 4.5 quarts is not enough. Then, when I switched to the larger Mobil 1 oil filter, it was closer to 5 quarts. The suggestion of putting in 4.5 quarts and then checking the next day after driving a short distance is exactly what I do. You certainly don't want to overfill the engine with motor oil.
