I am currently trying to work out a breaking up problem and a super rich off-throttle situation.

When I go full throttle in the turboxs map, the car will accelerate from low RPM to about 3000RPM, but after that its like a soft limiter or a 2-step kicks in, its really weird. I have the #1 pin on the connector grounded so I dont think thats problem. Also the car accelerates fine in the ("0") stock map or any unchanged map. Any thoughts? Im going to make sure my parameters are 100% right before I get into more serious diagnosing.

Another thing is a really strange problem. It happens in every map. When I let off the gas and let the engine brake, as soon as the revs drop to approx. 1750RPM or lower I start getting a lot of popping and backfires out the exhaust. It smells like the car is going VERY rich and that is the cause of the backfiring, but I dont really understand why the UTEC would cause me to go super lean. I have taken the UTEC out and confirmed it doesnt do this with only the stock harness and ECU. Any thoughts on this part either?

hi everyone

I'v got heads from a dead Z350 VQ35de engine . does it fit on VQ30DE maxima block 100% without any problems ?

I tried some invistegtions . I installed VQ30 internal intake that the pats comes with the injectors and feul rale . its fit 100% perfctly. and if we said that using 3.0 chain cover on 3.5 engine to make it fit on 4th Gen that mean 3.5 heads fits on 4th gen 3.0 block .

ok now I need suggestions and more investegations .

my goal is to use it for turbo .

thanx

This week-end I done my 3rd 00VI swap on 4th gens.
My trouble is when I started to remove the back manifold egr guide tube by cutting it with a cutting disk. After that, I managed to get my impact gun on the egr bolt screwed in the manifold but because my car is a 96 with 13 winters under his belt, the bolt stripped. :mad: And now there's a hole in the back manifold. I had an idea of plugging it with a spark plug, which is the exact same diameter and clogged it with JB weld. For now, it holds but for how long??? Is this stuff can really keep sealed with that heat source??
Time will tell...
I have another option to get it rod welded but the space is scarce...

Any members with such experience?? I still have a new spare back manifold with the egr tube already plugged but I dont want to do the whole back manifold job (which is a real PITA btw...)

let me know.
thanks guys. keep it 4DSC.
